Bored and Warm

It's warm, too warm. So warm that even the creatures who like the sun are in hiding...

Ok, so it's not THAT warm, but it's pretty darn warm in this little apartment of ours. I am currently packing for our camping trip up at Saddle Mountain, from which and of which I will get some awesome pictures! Anyway, amend that, I'm currently blogging, taking a break from packing, but moving on!

Did I mention that I'm seriously not a summer person, I don't like summer, I don't like heat, I would hate to be 7,8,9 months pregnant in this heat, seriously! (Don't forget to check the baby blog periodically, I won't tell you when it's been updated so just check it off and on...)

About Forgiveness

So you read in the post about being "Robbed By Relationship" that forgiveness is a choice (at least I think I put that in). Here's some stuff about forgiveness that was said in church in April.

Last Sunday was addressing being "Mugged By The Mirror". The major premise was that we, being human, look in the mirror and see something that we "think" or are told we need to improve (like when you look in the mirror and go "I'm ugly" or "Ew", etc.). When that happens, we're buying into the lie that Adam and Eve bought into that says that God doesn't know what He's talking about.

Genesis 1:26 says that people are made in God's image.

There are 4 ways to beat the thief:

1. Know what God says
Romans 12:2; Colossian 2:8; Philippians 4:8
2. See how God sees
I Samuel 16:7 (Look from the inside out)
3. Love who God loves
Isaiah 5:7-8
4. Reflect who God is
2 Corinthians 3:18
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Before I Rant

So, how come people always say they'll e-mail you or get in touch with you because they want to be your friend but they never do it? Seriouly, how does that make someone want to be your friend if you never get in touch with them until they call or e-mail first. Really, think about it.

I'm not really going to _rant_ so much as give you a look at what we're doing at church.

So, I'm Bored

So, I'm bored... Going to go to a Mariner's game with the Newberg First Assembly church on Saturday so that should be cool. (Then J- and I got tickets to take dad to a Mariner's game on the 23rd of July. They didn't have any close seat to the first base line though so we got seats up where home-runs get hit...) Um, we went to a Young Married's BBQ after church Sunday, it's a connection group the church has set up and so once a month young married couples get together and do stuff. Sunday was the first time we all got together and it was pretty fun, we were in the park and there were a bunch of babies and... Then I got really bad allergies and had to go home, sad, 'cos it was fun!

Girls Survey

Eyeliner or mascara? Both if I'm going all-out, mascara if I'm just wanting a little make-up.

Disney films or gore films? Disney and depends on the level of gore, some of them are funny ('cos they're so dumb)

Skirts or jeans? Jeans please!

Socks or leggings? Socks, knee socks!

Hoodies or jackets? Both, I've worn my jacket J- got for me so much that it's blue (original color) with a light brown tint...

Heels or sneakers? Chunky heels for dressing up, sneaks for regular stuff.

Straight or curly? My hair does both at the same time, it's a subtle curl...

Hoop or dangling earrings? I like both so long as they're either clips or magnetic (I can't wear pierced...)

Side bangs or one lengthed? I'm going to say, one lengthed (If I get what they're asking...)

pink or purple? Totally purple! I hate pink even though it _was_ a color in the wedding. (I did it for a bridesmaid...)

Car or Truck? Truck for off-roading, big truck, say, a Ford F-250 diesel (I miss that truck) and a car for town. For both I'd say an SUV like a Honda Pilot or something...

Smoothies or latteaes? Neither one, even though whoever made this can't spell.

Diet or regular sodas? Mostly regular, some diet are ok though...

Water or daiquiris? Daiquiris, but water is better for you.

Diamonds or pearls? Little inset diamonds or rough (freshwater?) pearls

Mary-Kate or Ashley Olsen? Neither one! I refuse to buy anything with their name on it even if at least one of them is sort of pretty... (Same reason why I refuse to stay at a Hilton Hotel...)

Ipod or cell phone? I don't own an Ipod 'cos I don't have money but I have to have my cell phone all the time 'cos it's the only phone we have besides J-'s... (Plus they make cell phones now that can hold music so what's the point in an Ipod if I can just get one of those or a cheap mp3 player, like the one he's already got)

Friends or family? Family I guess, I've come to realize that I have very few "friends" and more "acquaintances".

Lip gloss or chapstick? If I want color, gloss, if I want to give peace to chapped lips, Carmex.

Love or peace? Both but in the end I'll settle for love because you can't have peace without it really...

Sunglasses or purses? I totally am all taken with purses, I have far too many but the one I have now mom got me 'cos it's like the one B- has for NY(?) only it's Paris and it was cheap 'cos it was at Grocery Outlet (it was made with a few boo-boos but I don't care!)

Do you know how to french braid? Know how, yes, can I do it, no.

Do you use an eyelash curler? Yup.

Do you use waterproof mascara? Yeah, I have to otherwise I make a mess...

How much do you pay for make up? The most I've paid for one thing was like, $4.00, $12.00 for the "kit" I got that had a lot in it, usually I just take moms rejects... (Since she either doesn't like what she gets once she puts it on or she can't figure out how to use it right...)

Third Entry, I Must Be REALLY Bored!

I saw this and I thought it was cool... And even though J- is out of the military, I still know how a lot of these feel. The italic ones are the ones that I find true about me most of all.

TRUTHS ABOUT MILITARY WIVES...

*The average age of the military wife is 20 years old.

*She probably never saw herself loving a man who was in the military, but she loves him regardless.

*Her penmanship has improved over the last few months, due to the excessive letter writing she has been doing.

*She cries a lot, because she misses the man she swore to love. Her life isn't complete without him.

*She looks very tired, because of her many nights without sleep, due to a late night phone call that never came or a call that came and kept her up all night, just because she heard his voice, she is too overjoyed to sleep.

*As a wife, she is classified as a dependent, but she is totally independent.

*She tends to her household, her kids, her school work, and her job, all without her husband.

*She manages to wear a smile, even though inside she's crying.

*She understands that the man she loves has to go far away.

*She understands that he can be taken away from her in a moments notice.

*She feels a great sense of pride and probably cries whenever she hears the National Anthem, sees a flag blowing in the breeze, or watches the news and hears about another death in Iraq or Afghanistan or some where else, she worries that it might be him.

(I did that one ^ before I even got married... Or started dating J-...)

*She goes weeks without a call or a letter, but she writes him whenever she gets a free moment.

*She knows how to convert civilian time into military time.

*Before he left she used to complain if she didn't see him for a day or two, but now she gets annoyed when she hears someone complaining about not seeing their boyfriends for a couple of hours.

*She may not have seen him for months but she remembers everything about him, every scar he has, the way he smells, whether or not he snores.

*She has every picture of him and they are out and in frames, she stares at them for hours on end.

*She has read every letter at least 40 times.

*Even though her man is a half a world away, she still manages to go on with her life, as he would want her to.

Still Bored

So J- has a class tonight for plumbing, just the first of many, so I'm sitting at home listening to a playlist that I made that's way too long to get on one cd... Even if I burned it as a data disc... Oops, oh well.

I'm over my cold so I can sing again, YAY! *sigh* In my boredom so far this summer I've taken up cross-stitching. This is funny because I hate sewing and have next to no patience for things of the like, but I'm ok at cross-stitching and I have made a couple things so far... I have one work in progress as it has our names on it and will continue to gain names as we enlarge our family... Thus far it has, J-, P-, and "Baby"... :-T

Ok so I'm bored, but today's the 10 month mark... J- and I have been married for 10 months today! It rocks, I'm happy and still very much loving being married.

Since I'm bored here's a thing I took from the blog of the former resident of this apartment (they moved out in April because she was due to have their baby at the end of the month).

Nothing, I don't eat breakfast on a daily basis, probably won't till I'm pregnant...

Mexican food or Cheesy Bean and Rice burritos (from Taco Bell)

Onions! (I'm in total agreement with K- on this one, this was her answer!)

I don't drive but when I start, a '92 Ford Escort, unless we get a new one before then

Hmm, grilled (mozzerella) cheese

Um, unfaithfulness? Something I don't have to worry about, thankfully. :)
