Bless The Broken Road - Rascal Flatts
I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you
Chorus:
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true
Chorus:
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
Now I’m just rollin’ home into my lover's arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you

Ok so...
...to update people... Husband didn't end up going to Louisiana. Here's the scoop on that.
He enlisted and told everyone that he was only going to be in for 6 years, in November his 6 years are up. Because he was activated to go for 90 days or longer it would overlap with his enlistment being up and so, because it wasn't a federal activation like it should have been, he would have had to re-enlist while he was down there or they would send him home when his time was up. Well, they were getting ready to leave on the Tuesday after he was called up, after much wondering when the heck he was actually leaving, and they pulled him aside 10 minutes before everyone got on the bus (him and 3 other guys) and they were like, "you have 5 minutes to re-enlist or you're not getting on that bus". Two of the guys re-enlisted, hubby and another guy from Hood River (who had just gotten married 6 days prior) didn't. Hubby didn't because he wouldn't have time to talk to me first, and he wasn't planning on re-enlisting anyway. Then the guy got mad and called husband's sgt over to talk to the two guys from Hood River who didn't re-enlist. Sgt Hall was like, 'don't worry about it guys'. He knew why Jason didn't want to re-enlist, because his 6 were up and because he got married, and if the other guy had done it, he would have lost his bonus. (which is hefty)
there's more where that came from...
So, long and short of it, hubby's home looking for a new job so he's home at bedtime and on the weekends. (He works from 11 pm to 7 am currently).
I'm in school, doing alright. Hoping to finish this year, with a little extra work in May term prolly but I can do it.
Oh, and to clarify things for some people who should prolly know...
I've really been married for 48 days. Jason and I got legally married at the courthouse on August 1, after prayer and talking to people about it we came to the conclusion that it would be better for us to do it then because we'd have more time to adjust to being married than if we had just gotten married on the 20th and then moved that week and gone to school right after. So, the real anniversary is August 1, 2005.
...enough already!
