Birthdays
So, my birthday's coming... No thanks, not really into having a party when I come home this weekend. Um, I'll be 21, that's kinda cool... I'm really bored right now...
My room's almost done, just needs carpet and a complete redo this spring or something, it looks really bad because I did all but one wall alone... Yeah...

FYI:
In that I live in The Dalles now, in the event anyone wants me to come to any sort of get together, God forbid (sarcasm but you don't know my side of this either), I need more than same day notification.

More Computer Problems
Ok so a month after my laptop gets serviced, the fan dies... NOT GOOD, hello, without that things overheat and I fry just about everything... (Ok so it may not be quite THAT bad but I feel like it...) This is WHY my dad got me the desktop... AND the lid is cracking, in the same place it did the first chassis I had... Only on BOTH sides this time... One month, is it too much to ask of the school to get me something worth our time?! I'm not the only one with problems, I don't think they should sit there and say "too bad it's yours now", they messed up and should fix it... Now I have to call Gateway AGAIN and ask them to fix it AGAIN...

Another Thought...
If you don't want to hear it, stop reading here. :)
there's more where that came from...
All the little things that happened the week before Karissa went home really added up and I think she might have known... Her sister had a dream that they came home, but home was heaven (it was their house but...) and their granma who died a while back welcomed Karissa home with a kiss and said "welcome home"... Wow... And just a bunch of other little things that she said and did during that week were just, yeah...
One other thing, the waves were "unusually high"... I've experience "unusually high" waves too, when I was talking to God, at the beach... Seriously...
Her dad said something last night that hit me really hard at the memorial because I can relate, even though I'm not a mother... Apparently Saturday was her mom's birthday, also the day she died and went home. Her dad said something I will roughly paraphrase, "The greatest gift for a mother is to watch her child open up a gift that she's always wanted and to see her child's face so happy and... Saturday, Karissa gave my wife the greatest birthday present ever. She went home, something that she always wanted."
...enough already!

More Thoughts...
So I was thinking...
1) They say Karissa was up to her waist in the water... I know she knew better than that, she knew how dangerous it was, further points that make me think she heard God tell her to come home.
2) She went to the beach alone specifically to spend time with God...
3) No autopsy was done so they don't know she drowned for sure. She got swept into the ocean but that doesn't mean she drowned... And, frankly, I don't think she did...
Just a few thoughts, please no one give me {insert type of attitude}, I'm just speculating and writing what I believe was the case... I could be wrong, but, so could the professionals.

Surrealism
Karissa Edwards, a girl who went to Fox, drowned Saturday night. They found her body Sunday morning on the beach, it washed back up. First of all, in all reality, that doesn't happen that often, leastways in the Pacific.
So in talking to people today, I had something come to mind, and while none of you, or few of you, knew her, I did, and I think there's something in this...
there's more where that came from...
She was being obedient. God whispered in her ear, even if she didn't hear it, "Come home daughter, I want you to be here with me." And she did, whether she understood it or not. I mean, God didn't say, "Go drown," He said "Come home", and He led her home because she let Him. He knew that this was how she was coming home, and even if she didn't, she allowed herself to follow. As they said, she was taking alone time on the beach, which I am pretty sure she used praying or at least thinking and...
I'm still in the state of surreal shock... So many things about this are so... God hits hard sometimes, but there's always a reason. I've listened to "Let It All Out" about a billion times because there's just so many relevent aspects about it that apply and... I heard that song the first time last week and went, "Ouch, that's hitting hard" and just that alone made me bawl... I think it was almost a preparation thing...
...enough already!

Life Updates 2
As of now I have changed my major to Psyc and I'll graduate on time and then hopefully do the MAT which is one more year... If I hadn't changed I would have ended up doing work for my Bachelor's in the year I'll now be going for the MAT, so I come out of it with 2 degrees and not just one... :)
I talked to my new advisor and we got it all worked out, it doesn't seem too hard for me to be able to catch up... Which is nice. :)
YAY for people who know what they're doing!!

Life Updates
Dropped Chem 'cos the prof wasn't helping me at all so that's nice.
For Jrs. Abroad (my possible dream trip to Europe) the GPA min. is 2.0, I have a 1.91, I think I can do it. And the trip's only $1400, $300 by Jan 14, half of the rest due March 1st and the other half April 1st. (Help, pray, something?!)
My room at the new house is almost done, just need to do ragging off on the last layer of paint, wait for that to dry and put in the carpet, build my desk, and move my stuff in... Also need to build shelves and paint ones I already have. Need to turn closet doors into changing screen instead of closet doors, not hard.
Changing my major to Psychology and a possible minor in Computer Science and then getting my Master's in Teaching so I can teach... Roughly same amount of time I'm looking at finish anyway but this way I have at least 2 degrees for roughly the same price...
Family Math Night on Monday, need to get my stuff ready for that... Professional Preview Day Tuesday where I go job shadow, basically, a teacher all day long... Wednesday I have a meeting for Jrs. Abroad...
