I finally got it in my hands after a good two weeks of release, my copy arrived after much ado with the selling company, the mail, and ex-landlords! got home... plugged it in last night, blaring it over all my hanging anxiety and just melted!

Amazing Grace - Helmult Lotti This is one of my favorite songs, both to hear and to sing. This guy has a great voice, so i really like this version of it. I love all of the verses.
Please Pass the Milk - They Might Be Giants this song actually didn't end up on the cd cus it was 8 sec long and my burning program wont burn anything under 10 sec. But it cracks me up every time that I hear it...."please pass the milk please...please pass the milk please..."
East St. Louis Toodle-o - Duke Ellington I really enjoy the big band sound, and songs with just real instruments (read: more than guitars and drums....in fact, if those instruments are omitted, I am happy)
If You Could Only See - Tonic This is a song that i really liked in jr high. I was trying to remember it one night this year and spent an hour on the internet looking for it til I found it. this actually reminds me of God in many ways..(and no, I have never been in love and I don't have blue eyes)
Money Money - from Cabaret This song makes me laugh because of how wrong it is, which is why I love it (the whole foil to my beliefs thing). I was introduced to Cabaret by my good friend Phil, which is part of why I like it a lot too. It's his favorite musical. I love musicals. there is a lot of things that I won't stand for in movies or music, but if it's in a musical I will let it slide...
Istanbul (Not Constantinople) - They Might Be Giants I absolutely love this band for all of their offbeat lyrics. I love the trumpet intro to this song.
Vaya con Dios - Jaci Velásquez I love Spanish (working on becoming fluent) and I love God. Nuff said.
Why - Helmult Lotti Saw this on PBS and loved it, bought the cd, and this song just plain gets to me.
Hooked on a Feeling - ? The first time that I heard this version of the song I didn't like it, cus it messed up the real version. But after dancing to it and waking up to it every morning at Camp Recreation, I fell in love with it, and it always reminds me of camp.
Cabaret (Stepping Out) - Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies This is off a cd of punk covers of broadway show tunes. What can i say? I love show tunes, and all of their remixes....
Music of the Night - from Phantom of the Opera This is my favorite musical, and for a long time this was my favorite song from it. I love Michael Crawford's voice.
Song of the Cross - Susan Hookong-Taylor, Ana Tereza Da Costa (from World Youth Day 2002) I went to World Youth Day in Toronto in 2002. It was a great experience, and one of the best parts was the living reenacted way of the cross, of which this song played a big part.
New York City - They Might Be Giants this is my favorite song by this band, and now it also reminds me of Phil, who lives in NYC
The Confrontation - from Les Miserables I love what they say in this song, if you listen very closely. I also like the way their voices blend/layer. from my 2nd favorite musical
All For the Best - from Godspell We did this at Fox last year, and this song makes me smile and give me encouragement
Good 'n' Evil - from Jekyll and Hyde Another foil. I love the allusions in this song
Within You - David Bowie (from the Labyrinth soundtrack) I love David Bowie's voice. It has a lot of texture to it. I love labyrinth. I love everything about it-it's one of my 2 favorite movies
Your Little Body Is Slowly Breaking Down - from Evita This song makes me want to cry. not many things can do that. it just touches me a lot. it's probably not that effective/good out of context, but i had to include it anyway
Lumiére du mundo (International) - Robert Lebel (from World Youth Day 2002) this was the theme song for WYD in toronto. We sung it a lot that week. i love the different languages.
Forest Dance - University Repertory Theatre's 2003 production of The Crucible I was sound board op for this production
Blatently Explicit Sexual Song - Blame It on John this is my house's "song" this year. we play it really loud, dance around to it and laugh. i just picture the people from "American Gothic" singing it with a totally straight face. It's almost funnier when played twice as fast and twice as high.....
The Best Thing - Big Tent Revival The song that epitomizes what I think, although not always the way that I act.

I Think I Love You - Partridge Family I swear, this is the most romantic song that I have ever heard. I would love it if someone proposed to me by singing this song. it's the phrase "I think" that does it for me....it sounds more practical than sappy. I don't like sappy. not a romantic at heart.....
