New houses, New decks, and Fox
Who knew I could fit all my stuff into 3 cardboard boxes, and 3 bags?
Believe it or not, it happened. I brought just that in addition to my TV and Stereo with me on Sunday as I finally did it. I moved out.
It's kinda weird at first, but after a while it really is no different. I was sent away with a party the day before, and plain ol', good ol' catch up the days prior. It made the move a ton less stressful knowing there were people who cared about me, and possibly even loved me. :-)
Hans and I took off just after church, and arrived here at the Ricker's at the beginning of a birthday party for Michaela, and April. We had tacos, and I moved my stuff in afterwards. All in all, it was a highly eventful day.
Monday had the Ricker's leaving for Salem, while giving reign of the house to Hans and I. Needless to say, we didn't do much 'cept surf. (Actually, I surfed, and Hans attempted to fix his computer to allow him to. What he and I both didn't know through our troubles, is that we were being blocked by Dean, who didn't know he was blocking us... Yeah. 6 hours later...) Oh what a joy fast internet is though. :-D Liz said that I must be in heaven. She's wrong, but this is as close as I may come for a while.
Tuesday Hans and I started working on that there porch. It is decently sized, but not as big as the deck we did in Rowena. A ton more complicated though, it would seem. Hans and I have been swapping hours working on it, and have finally reached a place where we can both work together. It should fly, now.
Today, Hans left at around 11 to go pick up Steph for an AI meeting she had. I got to work on the porch for an hour before coming inside for a shower and some food. We left here at around 1:45 to head to AI. I thought it might be good to go and get some job leads from the board there. I also had some other stuff to sign before orientation next week. Little did I remember a prior engagement I had made for this evening.
My dad got back last week from his summer trip. He left a few days after graduation, and wanted to take me out to a nice dinner to celebrate. I was all upons, as who in their right mind would turn down that? Friday evening was the designated time, and everybody here knew that. Everybody here knew it since Sunday. In the franticness that ensued regarding trips to AI, and the state of mind Hans and I were in from deck cleaning all week, it slipped our minds. So much so that we Hans and I returned Steph to Fox, we didn't see any reason to head home immediately, so we hung around. Yeah. Way to score points, I know.
It would have been an awesome way to end this week, but such is life, I guess. And Dad, yes I still do very much want to go to dinner with you!

I heard about that forgetfulness this morning on my way to work... I simply figured you had either been whisked off unbeknownst to you that it would take so long...
as I've learned of late, "many plans a man may make, but only those of the Lord are completed!"
