syndication! already? [This-or-That: July 15, 2003]
I knew this-or-that was big, huge in fact, but it never occurred to me that they'd resort to re-runs... lucky for me, I wasn't around that long ago! So, let's do it:
there's more where that came from...
- Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck?
Bugs is rather pompous... and full of himself; Daffy is also a bit egotistical, yet especially annoying... hrm!? I like bunnies!
- Tom or Jerry?
Jerry
- Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck?
for the sake of being different: Donald
- Rocky & Bullwinkle or Boris & Natasha?
I'm a girl, so Natasha's as close to a decision I can conjure
- Road Runner or Wile E. Coyote?
the Road Runner... he can run fast, and doesn't look like a fool on a regular basis
- Sylvester or Tweety?
Tweety, same premise?
- Popeye or Bluto?
Popeye *swoon* he's my hero!
- South Park or The Simpsons?
Homestar Runner
- Jetsons or Flintstones?
Jetsons, I've always been a techy ahead of my time!
- And finally, the eternal question asked by all good Scooby-Doo fans: Velma or Daphne?
Daphne was all illusion and tight sweatered distraction... Velma's the bomb! Smart, witty; a power-princess in disguise!
ok... so I know it's not tuesday anymore. But I spent yesterday thinking it was wednesday (almost got clients in trouble for missing a mandatory [weekly wednesday] meeting) so it seemed fitting! ...enough already!

let's go surfin' now [This-or-That: June 24, 2003]
*continues singing*
"everybody's learnin' how
c'mon a safari with me!"
*does "the swim"*
this week, it's all about catchin' the wave that is the information super highway...
there's more where that came from...
- Surf sites at random, or have a set list of regular reads?
first there's the blogrolls, then maybe some via links...
- Do you visit mostly blogs, or news or other sites?
mostly blogs, then bookcrossing
- Do you go online every day, or just a couple of days a week?
um... *hesitant eye contact, looking around the room; slight nod of the head* "I'm amancay, and I'm an internet junkie" let's just say I log in at regular intervals throughout the day...
- Do you allow comments on your blog, or not?
how do you spell: duh!? although sometimes I have to poke and prod readers to get them to be used...
- Do you shop online at all, or at regular stores?
both, however I whole-heartedly prefer online shopping... especially for those things I already know that I want without perusing: music, books, techno stuff, etc.
- Have you ever done online bill-paying/banking, or not?
all over it, baby... this appeases my step-mother as she's deathly afraid of it and that's all dad does (heaven forbid anything should happen to him before her time!)
- Which news site do you prefer... MSNBC.com or CNN.com? Or do you prefer some other one?
I'm not a big news fan, on or off-line, I merely skim headlines and read few complete articles.
- Live chat rooms, or message boards?
im-ing strictly with people I know for the most part... and boards primarily comprised of the same!
- Instant messaging or e-mail?
IMs are preferred, however I tend to email when someone has no IMing capabilities, or suddenly goes MIA... pet peeve: people who have no concept of actually responding to said emails.
- Yes or no: have you ever met, or at least talked on the phone with, another blogger? If not, would you want to? Why or why not?
I'd be all over it, were it someone I've read for a while... we've interacted online, etc. I know there one in particular who's on my reading list that only lives an hour away... but we've yet to cross paths.
...enough already!

reading queue [This-or-That: June 17, 2003]
perfect timing... I spent all afternoon/evening registering books at BookCrossing. From random things I'd never read to all-time favorites, I lost track of time. Now Christine wants to know what I'm reading...
there's more where that came from...
- Newspapers or magazines?
I flip through the local paper, and read interesting articles out of all sorts of magazines
- Books-on-tape or regular books?
real books, I prefer to listen to music in the car
- Paperback or hardcover?
paperback, I was just noting, today, my avoidance of hardcovers.
- Fiction or non-fiction?
fiction. I like reading real stuff, but for the most part, my reading is an escape.
- Sci-Fi/Fantasy or romance novels?
romance over sci-fi any day!
- Borrow from library or buy books (either new or used)?
BookCrossing!
- Subscribe to magazines or buy on newsstand?
I have a couple subscription I never signed up for (freebies, maybe?) and I tend to read/thumb-through whatever everyone else gets (mom, nela, etc.)
- Current best-sellers or classic literature?
guilty pleasures (tween stuff: series such as Sweet Valley, BSC, etc.)
- Read books once, or re-read favorites every so often?
favorites deserve a re-read
- Here in the U.S., we have two hot best-sellers...former First Lady Hillary Clinton's memoirs, and the new Harry Potter book (coming out June 21). If you had to read one, which one...Hillary or Harry? Why?
Hillary if forced to pick one, neither otherwise. Because Harry Potter is merely not something of interest to me, and Hillary isn't much either
...enough already!
