you had me at, 'hello' [PromoGuy's Monday Mission 4.0]
this is it, last chance... the final hoorah!
PromoGuy's callin' it quits, who can blame him!? it's lots of work maintaining a meme, I'm sure!
So i figured it apropos to poke my head up and and participate this one last time:
there's more where that came from...
- In the last week, what happened that made you feel loved beyond your wildest dreams? [ from MM 1.0]
*hours of thought... returning with an answer, finally* well, on friday I got IMs from Nela, imploring me to come up for turkey... Tommy then actually drove down to pick me up which was pretty spectacular from the get go. He must really like my girl!
Later we went "sledding"... that is where I really got impressed. Despite my wimpy walk, and heaving breaths, they were encouraging, kind, and gracious with every step & effort. No mocking, taunting, or even complaining... most importantly, I was not abandoned/left behind. We worked together to get everyone down the hill (and the tube back up it) enough for all to be pleased with the outing.
*shrug* it's just so oft that in such ventures I get completely set apart in that my inabilities dragging everyone down... *fighting back actual tears* it's just special to me!
- What was the last audio CD you paid money for? [ from MM 1.3]
"I got Treats for ya audibles!"
- Has someone you know ever told you they had a terminal illness? What was it like for you when you found out. How did that change your relationship with them? [ from MM 2.45]
not that I can recollect... the mere thought baffles me, and I honestly don't know how I might respond/react!
- Do you have an accent? Are there any phrases or words you say that tip folks that you aren't from around these parts? [ from MM 2.38]
*small chuckle in slight embarrassment* in spanish I somehow acquired the most exaggeratedly intense Cordobs accent... all super sing-songy.
in english I oft use odd words, for lack of other outlets of creativity and individuality... and I assuredly pronounce some a tad diff'rent than most; a sort of potpourri that leaves many scrunching eyebrows and questioning me as to my roots...
- What's the difference between being a Father, and being a Daddy? [ from MM 3.25]
I had a great thought process and answer for this, and suddenly it's not there anymore/I'm second guessing myself. I'm a girl, so I only have to worry about understanding the daughter perspective, as opposed to actually being one... but still.
I know one big difference is I'd never call someone dad or daddy if all they were was what I like to refer to as "a sperm donor", no relationship... just blood relating us. yet there is such respect involved with the notion of father, that I don't want to dis it's valor; father denotes someone who is more than just a pal who plays with you and gives cool gifts... someone who you can look up to, your hero per se, someone who helps you develop into the intellectual being you are meant to be... *sighed shrug* I don't know!
- What is the most recent thing guilt has motivated you to do? [ from MM 2.50]
*pondering* "guilt" mostly, I'd say 'step back'
- How do you feel about tips and tipping? Do you feel obligated to tip even if your service is bad because you know the servers don't get paid much? If you've ever relied on tips for your income, how do you feel when you don't get any? [This is a new one, had to throw in at least one more hot topic before I sign off]
I know the tipping is an important factor in service... I'm a good tipper, and get good service at places I've been know the frequent [I can only assume] due to that very fact. However, I'm the first to leave a blatantly cut-throat tip when service was anything but cordial, appropriate, etc. you get all snippy with me, disappear never to be seen again, or major mess up without 'making it up'... good luck getting much out of me!
BONUS: Will you still love me for the rest of my life? um, sure... I guess
anyone else find it strangely coincidental that these are all from MMs I didn't do at their time!? *shoulders lurch forward in shruggish motion*
...enough already!

It's my prerogative [PromoGuy's Monday Mission 3.39]
ok, so it's my blog and I can choose to ask or answer whatever I do or don't want to at any given time, right!? So tonight I'm going to be finicky about my monday mission ("pickin' out the purple stuff" so to speak...)
there's more where that came from...
- Do you have good friends in countries other than your own? Which is the furthest away? How did you meet them? What makes them such a great friend?
um yeah... not that I don't consider argentina not a country of my own; it's just u:ber far away at the moment.
I went down for a year in school [on an exchange of sorts]... then went down post-high school and lived there for another couple of years. Said years were very formative, especially spiritually as I was a rather new christian. So many of my original growths, understandings, decisions, and such revelations were made in the midst... I've got many very close, extra-special friends there that I miss greatly!
- Are there any models of automobile on the road that irritate you when you see them?
I try really hard not to learn the names of said fugly vehicles... but I know they exist, and I cringe when I see them!
- When you were in school, did you ride the bus? Do you have any school bus horror stories? What really went on in the back seats anyway?
THe first day of school was really the only trauma I have in connection with the large yellow vehicle. The driver at the time must have been 'on crack' or something, because despite the fact that it was the first day of school (and therefore you never know who all might be on your bus that you don't know about... but who knows where everyone lives, yet!) she didn't stop where I was told to get off. A good country block later she stopped. Ultimately interested in getting home, I got off there... keep in mind these 'country' blocks aren't something to be messed with... they mean business! For a first grader, who insisted on wearing her new fall clothes and was just informed by her teacher that she didn't know how to hold a pencil (though she'd been writing for over a year, without issue), that's one bugger of a walk. So much so, in fact, that mi madre was able to buzz all the way down here from Parkdale [once she noted I wasn't arriving home] and actually meet me just past where I should have gotten off in the first place!
- What sort of things should a woman never say to a man?
hmmm, other than "hold my purse!"? I'm not sure... perhaps, "It's not you, it's me!", "I've gotta wash my hair...", "why aren't you more uxorious", and/or other lame rejections...?
- Do you have a favorite cartoon Super Hero? Who and why?
*superhero music* Underdog! 'cause he's cute *sending virtual wink out to Hendrik* and the Underdog! *pre-teen sass* hello-o!?
- Just what does it take to make you happy?
*sigh, followed by wide-eyed gaze* wow, that is one loaded question...
I'm gonna go with honesty & sincerity, as that seems to sum it up for me at the moment!
bonus: How can you wait anymore when you're wondering what you're waitin' for? *another deep sigh* where are you coming up with this stuff!? *looks around, suspiciously* ok, who put you up to this!? ...enough already!

it's only monday!? [PromoGuy's Monday Mission 3.07]
*singing a la 'How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying'*
"Well it's been a long, been a long, been a long, been a lo-o-ong time!"
More than anything I haven't participated from the pure busy-dom that is my life. However I also found, a while back, that PromoGuy's site made iE crash on my computator... over and over and over again! So I gave up trying.
there's more where that came from...
- What do you like to eat for breakfast? Do you even eat breakfast?
if I eat... it's something I can grab and go: a bagel, a hot-pocket, a tortilla with cream cheese, something. But mostly, it's merely a drink.
- What was the song that "blew your mind" and is etched in your brain forever? Recall the moment and why it remains in your mind.
"Please Don't Go Girl" * New Kids on the Block [Joey McIntyre]. I was sitting in the living room at my dad's watching NickRocks (as far as I can recall that was what the show was called: music videos for 1/2 hour on Nickelodeon). All of a sudden a stunning black & white video began. A young man was crooning his way into my heart, not to mention his beautifully stunning eyes that penetrated my very soul *swoon*. I was hooked, I had to watch every music video stint I could find in order to catch another glimpse, and figure out who these guys were... Joey still gives my goose-bumps!
- Do you like to gamble? Have you ever won (or lost) big?
not really, I prefer to keep my money.
- Some people find comfort for their troubled mind in food. Others find it in music or books. What do you turn to for comfort when you are troubled or worried?
God! First and foremost. To get my mind off I might catch a flick or indulge in some guilty pleasure television.
- When was the last time you felt apathetic? What was it about?
Eek! Um, must I admit this...? It may be a rarity, but there are definitely times in my work that I simply can't empathize with someone's "woe is me", constant self-victimization, any longer.
- I just read that Google bought Pyra Labs (Blogger.com). Although Blogging was going "mainstream" before this, it most certainly will now have greater exposure, and one assumes, bring us even more Bloggers. Is this a good thing?
sorta... I believe everyone should be blogging. But it's all in good measure, it should be introduced individually by people you actually know showing you the ropes of sorts... not some random "here's a blog, have at it" attitude!
- What did you do with all your freetime before you blogged?*
I actually read books, which I am now getting back into. note: I've found less and less time to blog...
BONUS: Should I stay or should I go now? *getting groove on* dang it! can't think of the rest...
* Question provided by Rhonda. ...enough already!
