CreationNW 2007 - Day 4:
I'm not sure how to explain it... but simply being able to be that close, down in the pit, standing under the direct midday sun, and not literally wilting from exhaustion... was huge for me. This year was SO different in that aspect. I can't recall a single 'I'm so hot/out of breath/tired/worn out physically that I can't go on' moment (except maybe right after the megaphones... but that's expected/different!)
the other thing in this shot that sticks out to me *laughing at her own lame punning-ness* is Eric's presence. He was such a blessing to me... it was wonderful to be able to spend some time getting to know him for who he is becoming. It was awesome to have him readily available for crowd control on my behalf (toatlly a bonus benefit I frankly didn't foresee, but duh; he's way taller than me at least, and greatly observant of all that is happening around him!)
