CreationNW 2007 - Day 1: yay! yay! yay!
woke up at Creation... spent most the morning and mid after-noon running around tying to figure out everything for the DC*B promo/s and such. Making the contacts, getting the right passes, and assuring my place/s in the whole thing... without stepping on any toes, to the best of my ability!
As I was prepping to leave camp for the last time... to actually hand out the "7 Remedies" and then enjoy the evening... Rachel called. I was giddy with glee! She was actually coming! woo hoo!
So we met up as soon as she got there (parked, made the eternal walk from same-day parking, and got her day ticket) sat in the shade for a bit so she could recoup from the heat & exposure. Then we hit the top of the amphitheater for some pictures, and eventually made our way down to a sitting spot for the speaker.
It was so awesome to get to meet her, feel as if I was just catching up with an old friend, and mostly feel a smidge less geeky at all the snapping I was otherwise doing. Something about even a pair of trigger happy girls that goes over smoother than just one!?
As RK was going to be starting we decided to hit the pit... risk it all... go for the gold. We tracked down my fellow campers, made some introductions, and left our "stuff" with them... only taking ourselves, some H2O, and the cameras... then into the pit we endeavored!
