Day 169
there's more where that came from...
[Week 22] Assignment #2: Dark - Show us your best dark photography. Get a little morbid, perhaps. Get a little goth. Lets all get depressed together, shall we?
If anything has ever hung over me it is a fear of being alone... this particularly haunts me in the dark prolonging of the night.
What good can come of this?
My desperation runs so deep
Oh I can not even speak
I find myself doubting You (doubting You)
I'm blinded by my pain
Fear grips my heart with no relief (no relief), and all I know is grief
I did not ask for this, so I cry out to God
Are You really there, or do You even care?
Have You turned Your back on me?
In my darkest hour, You revealed Your power and heard my desperate cry
You shone Your love around, Now blessings they abound
When I was weak You showed Your awesome power
In my darkest hour, You revealed Your power - Rescue ...enough already!

even more so... no school!
- Where did you work?
*checking resume, again* ah yes, the longer range of Helping Hands days...

- Where did you hang out?:
the guy's house. HC, baby!
- Did you wear glasses?
nope.
- Who was your best friend(s):
Jonathan, Torsten, Sara, Marianela (I was soon off to visit her for her wedding!)
- How many tattoos did you have?:
1
- How many piercings did you have?:

--------------------Today-------------------- - How old ae you?:
29
- Where do you go to school?
no school!
- Where do you work?
supposedly I've been hired on at the hospital... yet to hear from HR, but that's the understanding!
- Where do you live?
I'm in a daylight basement, under a sweet house, back in the 'Hood!

- Do you talk to your old friends?
*heavy sigh* wow, I'm constantly baffled by the folks who have decided to walk away, give up, and simply write off the amazing friendship we shared. You know who you are, and I urge you to really look and see... what do you want from me... or why not!?

single (um, yeah, see above)
so there you have it... a brief synopsis of the range of change over the last 6 years... strange! ...enough already!

I Will Survive!
Imagine, if you may, you were stranded in an unknown city with absolutely no money or resources? How would you eat? Where would you sleep? Did you think about the weather?
I've certainly never been in such a dire situation, but I would like to think that I have enough street smarts and resourcefulness to survive such a fiasco. First things first, I'd most likely hit up local agencies to see what is available to me (food banks, random hospitality, shelter, and/or quick jobs.) Then I might even resort to bartering with a restaurant or service station... a bit of my hard work, in exchange for a hot meal or other amenities!
now, depending upon the weather, and the safety, a major priority for me would be finding a safe place to lay my head... or even just hole up for the night. I may even have to rely on my people skills, and simply sit back and trust the humanity of folks, to borrow a bed! I'm not sure how safe i feel simply tucking away in a park for the night, or finding a spot under a bridge. Perhaps it's my jaded perspective of folks after years working with various victims of crime. But I would hope that would simply be a last resort!
there's more where that came from...
