Now that I'm back to a Mac, I don't find the need to spend big money on anti-viral protection. Even when I was running a Windows based comp, I watch my back enough that forking over approx. $100/year to stay up-to-date, always made me cringe. I like knowing that there is a free Antivirus option out there. I can download & install, should I choose to... or suddenly feel the need, without having to invest the next month's fuel expenses on the effort.
Norton is a well trusted virus-protection software company, and the screenshots of this freebie version look intuitive and sufficient protection for my current concerns.
