It's not secret I've come across my share of monetary issues in the last 10 years... from an awful man ruining the shambles of my credit, creating debt in my name, and skipping out of town on everyone (including a shattered wife) all the way through random accidents that resulted in huge medical bills since I was uninsured. Mind you, I do have some sense about me, and do my best to live frugally... and within my means!
I've paid off any & all loans I had out there, and I don't believe in going into debt with friends or family (how's that for some Debt Advice?) What I do (or did) have is some debt from credit Cards... erg! I don't use them anymore: strictly a debit card kind of girl! The credit cards were used long ago, and got me through a tough time between jobs. But in the end the price was too high for the aide!
Even with all that in mind, my current accounts fluctuate up & down... while I constantly try to assure I'm covering the aforementioned medical bills to the best of my ability, all the while still trying to keep some emergency cash flow available to me.
Right now I rent, so I don't have to deal with a Mortgage Broker, house payments, and some of the long term/expensive maintenance of my own property. But I really should look into some sort of home insurance/renter's insurance... along with my necessary car coverage. I'd hate for something to happen & I'd end up really hurting.
there's more where that came from...
