Tonight Kim Spotts had a bunch of us "single" gals over for (possibly a monthly) dinner... we ate yummy taco/nacho soup, talked & laughed muchly, and played a game while getting to know one another more & more.
It was a great time. The funniest thing for me, was to hear/realize that I was not the only one who went about the day worried that I'd be the only one to show up (as the invite only came last night, and who else is lame enough to not have already had plans for a friday night!?)
I look forward to more times as such, and pray that perhaps it will expand/extend out to the guys in our predicament (be it together or seperate.) I know JDM would benefit a bit from such an opportunity!
Yay for folks stepping up to the plate to bless this randomly underserved/usually looked-over population!
