How sweet would it be to truly have a Fingerprint door lock a la Alias, 24, or James Bond? At somewhat reasonable/affordable rates for the homeowner, these things look pretty sweet. Set 'er up for up to 100 individual biometric print reads/users; a back-up pin & key system is there as well... (I find this to be useful for house-sitting & emergency purposes.) wow!
I have a horrid tendency to lose/forget keys, so this would be invaluable to me. I currently have spares all over the city just in case, and have had to call on them at least once (so far) in the short year I've lived here! Plus, I have a tendency to be fumbling around with keys & other items and getting into the door is quite an ordeal. Plug my finger onto the reader, and turn the handle, viola/open seasame!
