I'm a bit stoked about this prepaid calling card service, not only do they use VOIP, but they are offering up to 4 free hours of calls just for signing up! (Basically $5)
Rates vary per country (der!), and I'm impressed with the Argentina calling card rates (only $0.022/min. to the outlying areas, or $0.032/min. if you have to use the Toll-Free number) Amazingly, they even have a Hood River local access # (I've never seen a company actually offer much in our neck of the woods!)
With international & per-minute rates as intense as they are for me (I am a mobile phone only home,) my only/best option is to get my hands on the creme de la creme of phone cards. Otherwise I could easily rack up an exorbitant amount of money in one simple call. A pre-paid card doesn't even give you that option!
With holidays and birthdays around the bend, I long to get in touch with some of my long-lost Argentina friends (& family). I hope this does the trick!
