Growing up in such a small town, I rarely had to even think about home security, it's options, or even it's ramifications. I grew up feeling unusally secure, in and around here... and then I grew up!
Going into a big city to live, working in the intense environment that I did for years, and the way the world has [d]evolved... has changed that outlook greatly, yet I still have lingering home security flaws, for sure!
there's more where that came from...
In this apartment I feel pretty safe: away from town (my thought is in town it's easier to inconspicuously stlak someone and note their schedule!), and hardly visible from the road. If anyone were to come around here, they'd most likely hit the house vs. the hidden apartment (just had this discussion with a friend in regards to my absence & worry over the house appearing empty/available.)
But, I do have a bit of a regimen I follow for closing up the place. With only one main door, it is locked, with a dead bolt, nightly. Much to my dismay, even in the scorching heat... when leaving all my doors & windows open for NW night air ventilation seems the best option... I've had to make the habit of closing up shop once I'm actually going to go to sleep.
Still feels wierd, since it wasn't long ago that I left my keys in my ignition... even at the local grocery store!
...enough already!

I guess it was inevitable... one must break down & take huge loads elsewhere, at least once every great... long... while! Today may very well be that day for me, although I feel like waiting until tomorrow... when I'm already out & about...
Maybe, I'll just gather my stuffs together, head over to Linda & Randy's, get it started... then I'll feed my parent's dogs, and go home. I can get the done laundry in the morning, before &/or after church. *convinces herself of the plan*

Once again, PayPerPost is at it... sending bitty little pieces of a puzzle (this one entitled PayPerPost Blue Monster) all over the blogosphere, to announce something fun & fancy, and the give us a shot at a prize!
Had to hide a piece on my blog, couldn't be left out of the fun!

mom took Colin into the HR Hospital last night/evening... to be taken, by ambulance, to a Portland Hospital (which finally happened around midnight!)
Now that the doctor has finally seen him in PTown, he'll be having an angiogram to see exactly where the blockage is, and how they can fix it (a balloon? or a stint?)
there's more where that came from...
