Florida Family Vacation
The last true "family vacation" I can remember going on... was one of those phatty Florida Holidays. My mom, Colin, Canela & I flew down to Florida, and enjoyed almost every aspect of the place/s that we could!
there's more where that came from...
Obviously, we hit Disney World & Epcot all the way. We got one of those 5-7 day Flex Passes, and alternated between the Magic Kingdom (same thing as DisneyLand; just more stretched out & with more shops,) Epcot (hitting all the countries we could, eating there as well!,) Disney/MGM Studios (a slightly different expreience than that of your typical Universal Studios,) & the outlying Water Park for a bit of a break. Disney was great, almost too much to take in so quickly, but we hardly made a dent there!
Aside from the vast Disney experience, we flew further down state, rented a car, and drove out to the keys. My mother had discovered the Dolphin Research Center, and arranged for us to swim with the dolphins! It was quite the drive, but worth it! Plus we got some really good cuban food along the way, yum! ...enough already!

true turmoil
I don't like knowing that my friends are struggling... with anything! Let alone struggling to survive, stay afloat, and simply love one another! *shaking head* No one should ever be able to have such a detrimental effect on others at such a level. The fact of the matter is, that as humans... as brothers & sisters in Christ, expecially... and as self-proclaimed "pals"; we do! We have the power to distract, defeat, detour, and generally disappoint each other. *head hurting from both migrainey misery, and trying to wrap her brain around people's ability to be so seemingly selfish/self-indulgent/self-involved*
there's more where that came from...
*sigh* I just want to pull a Rodney King, moaning... "Can't we all just get along?"
It's so simple, and yet we complicate it so muchly.
God wants/calls us to forgive one another 77X7... daily!
At the same time, he calls us to a higher accountability amongst each other, to expect only the best from those who run after Him. The balance in between those spins me in circles almost daily.
Lord, help me know how & when to hold open my heart for those who are running around mangling it. Please show me when to protect myself for unnecessary affliction, hurt, pain, and manipulation. And Jesus, will you do the same for the ones I love?
Grace.
Love.
Integrity.
Patience.
I am receiving so much, I don't know where it's all supposed to flow! ...enough already!

gas turbine jet engines
It's learning time again at lily of the valley. Today's lesson: Exactly how does a gas turbine jet engine work? What is the difference between a turbofan, a turboprop, a turbojet, and/or a turboshaft?
Answers to those questions (and perhaps more) are certainly not found in my brain! But here, in this nice little guide "to all things Gas Turbine"
Jonathan would be proud... me, looking into engines, and understanding modern aviation (or at least making an attempt?)

must you migraine?
so I've no clue as to the culprit, but I'm in the midst of a migraine. Just between the furry of fuzzy/non-vision & the overwhelmingly numbing pain.
*off to take excedrin migraine*
was it the nerves re: job searching? the stress of "making it" for my father's sake? the anxiety over the appearance of another encounter ruined with a good friend over my possible over-reacting? the strange mix of confusion over how to interact with a once close friend? the mind-boggling and patence testing of 2 boys who stop at nothing... testing all sorts of nerves & boundaries?
I vote for the latter, but hate to blame such a predicament on them.
there's more where that came from...
I need to get going before I hurl, and really hurt... *pain begins to throb*
Thanks to Jonathan & RuthAnne, for getting me home, opening a can of soup for later use/consumption, and getting my mail (yay, new Adie cd!)
Oyg! ...enough already!

voice over internet protocol
Let's take a quick look into this new phenom of VOIP. I, personally, have wanted to give it a try (vs. a landline) mostly due to the insane bases costs of having a phone in the home. Plus, I'd like to better (more cost efficiently) be able to connect with my family & friends in Argentina.
there's more where that came from...
I know that my brother & sister-in-law have VOIP for their home phone. My temporary job was also using VOIP to more efficiently connect their offices in two different cites. This lowers their overall costs, saving on the long-distance charges simply between offices!
With people scattered all over the country & beyond. The simplicity of a phone connected through the computer, or even just the built-in mic & speakers, can become amazing tools for maintaining relationships, clear communicating, and closing the gaps between us. ...enough already!

another Gilmore Girls moment
discs 4-6 showed up in the mail... *pouty lip in regards to other expected items' absence*
So I'm obviously doing my best to continue plowing through the season.
there's more where that came from...
Yay for Lane & Zack... it's about time someone display a decent, heartfelt, mind-boggling proposal on this show! Leave it to the musician to quasi-pull out all the stops. ...enough already!
