Akeelah meets eBay!
Am I the only one who has noticed that some folks make major mistakes when they list items on ebay... and often, it is for the best benefit of the buyer! *raises happy eyebrows*
A simple misspelling, can lead most others astray, and leave the keen eye/seracher to win an auction at a much better rate than the norm. Now you can simply do an Ebay misspelling search *nodding* yup, that's right. The good folks at SpellingSearch have made it greatly simplified for you/us. Plug in your sought item/s, pick a category, and begin perusing the possibilities.
there's more where that came from...

So long sweet Summer!
She's done... finally! (Ok, so I actually finished her up Sunday night... after a nice bout at the skirt in church!)
Today she was delivered to KnotAnotherHat for display & drumming up interest in the Crocheted Cutie class I'll be teaching in November. (sign up, you know you want to make your own amigurumi!) Sara & Yvonne seemed to give their approval... I'm honestly quite proud, especially under the circumstances! She turned out really cute, & I can only improve with each attempt, yes/no?
there's more where that came from...
Now I really want to keep crocheting, but I have to remebmer to pace myself, and not get too far over my head. My right hand isn't quite ready for the constant strain of creating tension, and holding things in place. At the same time, perhaps the excersize is good for it, in moderation of course.
I really want to be well enough to pump out some fun/cute gifts for the October crowd... but I'm afraid that isn't going to be an option. I'll have to be otherwise creative in those gifting efforts this round, especially being also currently unemployed. Oyg... when it rains it pours! (But I just got a call from my dad with another [longer] temp position doing archiving/filing [what I did all summer despite the finger/lack-thereof] & other options are out there as well!)
For now, I go back to my internet perusing, some television watching (& quasi-ignoring) and other daily drabble.
*suddenly excited*
Oh, I can go get the mail! (maybe my new Adie cd will be here, or my mini-Moo cards!) & food is probably a good idea, too! ...enough already!

video graphics array
I'm suddenly intrigued as to what exactly VGA is, and how it might be able to serve me...
First, let's take a look at the VGA Recorder PRO. Technical Specifications. Pretty, impressive... Apparentally this technology is especially helpful in recording presentations, conferences, or trainings, plus for surveillance/monitoring. Then you have the more geeky side of memorializing computer use & interaction with other devices. Hrm...
This recorder in particular allows you to simultaneously not only record the VGA input... but added other audio & video as well! It merges the two (or three) into one phatty file, supercedeing the capabilities of mere VCR-based solutions. Aside from the merging capabilites, it can switch... seamlessly, between mutiple VGA signals, without interrupting the other audio/video recording... very smooth!
*shaking head from the wealth of information* Wow! That's some impressive hardware.

is it really considered hemming & hawing?
when I've got something to say, something serious... trying... difficult... and possibly very much private... I can't just come out and say it. In fact, I find myself lingering, longing for just the right moment, feeling, atmosphere in which I can open up as such. This provides for much frustration with a friend who has no reason to see it coming, and would otherwise cut the conversation short so as not to just mull about in seemingly nothingness. *sigh* Strange and twisted, I know. But how I've realized I work.
Perhaps knowing/acknowledging is half the battle. As is, sharing the scenario/s. One can't make improvements upon themselves or their actions without any input indicating the necessity. We go about with an "if it ain't broke, why fix it?" sort of mentality that at times serves us better than the concept implies. So we must rely on eachother, and God's gentle knocking upon our hearts & minds, to open up our eyes to possible places of needed improvement.
there's more where that came from...
Don't get me wrong. The need for improvment in no way indicates a dire deficiancy in our own actions, attitudes, or what have you. It only shows how much He longs to help us up into the next level He has prepared for us. It only represents the amazing love & grace He pours out on us for the betterment of our own lives, and that of those around us to reap the blessings!
Today, I got to experience this phenomenon with a friend. As time went on, after an entire evening and more morning of talk (some more serious, and some not) the fullness of her heart began to unravel/unveil itself before me. I felt honoured. Full of God's love for her, and so wrenched to want to "fix" what lay before me. But I can't do that. Only He can... and as I was able to see that I'm not alone in this pattern of revelation, I found a greater respect & understanding of my own tendencies to guard my heart. Maybe that's not such a bad thing!? Maybe that's part of how I am perfectly made in His Plan/s!? ...enough already!

this has been a friends, god, serious life, woe is me entry
did you know?
I love trivia... in fact I used to run a consistant trivia challenge/contest in the sidelines of my journal entries (back in the day/s!)
Something about random tid-bits of information that pop up at unexpected times, makes for great banter, good conversation, and excellent board game skills! Now, if only I could so well recall God's Word!?
Uncle John's Bathroom Reader is always a great source for light reading, new quote discovery, and feeding this need for trivial information. Avivia Trivia fits the bill in a blog! From "Useless" Facts about Shaving & Trivia on Toys to The Truth about Nutella & 10 Alternative Uses for Hairspray, there's bound to be something of interest for everyone... and a bounty of trivia to be discovered!
