take me down to Panama City

Destination travel is a growing dream for me. Now, with the help of the internet, you have at your fingertips a wealth of knowledge and insight into almost anywhere you would like to go. Opening up some otherwise mysterious locations.

Imagine: Panama City, Panama. It's closer to the equator... so it's surely warm! A bustling place near the revolutionary canal. A different way of business, life, love & culture, not to mention the language *sigh*.

Perhaps I'm more prone to this sort of location because I can speak the language & my heart calls out to find out more about the intricate cultures of most of southern America. There's just something about being able to truly communicate with people, at their level, in their own language, that cannot be matched with pocket translators, tour guide/interpretors, etc. And it is with the people, true locals, that you can get a true appreciation for the wonder of a place. They can open your eyes to things & places you may not otherwise be priviledged to see/experience!

Maybe it is because a dear friend has been there in the more recent past, and is presently not far from there himself. Torsten & his family made a stint out to the Canal a year ago (or so). they had oodles of amazing stories to share. From the intricacies of walking across the border/through customs, to divine encounters with locals & other travelers in and around the city... they certainly painted an intriguing portrait of the place.

Mostly, just looking at the beautiful pictures & watching the adventures in Estelle's travel video make me want to fly away! If Icould look as beautiful as her, fly off to various exotic locations, and tell others all about it for their enlightenment/encouragement. I'd do so in a red hot minute!

You can find out all about Panama City, Panama & much more, online... at Estelle.tv. She may be a supermodel, but she's got a videocast covering great travel destinations, accompanied by a wealth of information regarding each one. A beautiful way to look into places, and get an idea of what to expect, where to go, and certainly things you don't want to miss out on while you are there!
