Oh my! I went to PT this morning... and got the expected looks of disappointment, frustration, and bewilderment from Nola. Seems as though I have very productive scar tissue (good to know in any future incidents of grave damage) that has gone above a beyond the call of duty, making my "healing" a much more involved fiasco than anticipated!
Then, of course, we have the insane amounts of lingered swelling... that just won't go away! I do my contrast soaks, retrograde massage, and everything else possible to drain the junk... but it persists. Today she urged me to revisit the whole coban wrap thang, and then proceeded to mummify my hand... finger by finger, and finally bringing it all together with a wrap around the palm.
So I spent the entirety of the day collecting any semblance of dust on my slightly sticky finger wraps (groady!) & feeling the weirdness of the wrap itself. Strangest sensation of all this experience! *shudders*
Now, I'm stuck... wondering whether I should leave it... or if I can release the hand for the night, and pray I can get someone to properly wrap it up as such again, soon!
*couldn't handle it anymore, had to unwrap*
