As you may, or may not, have noticed... I didn't end up with Dish Network/satellite in my home... *a bit of a pouty lip* I'm still sort of reeling about that whole issue: man comes to install, doesn't do anything at all, and wha-bam! that's it, no options.
I had to contact Dish customer service... explain my predicament, and I was assured they would rememdy the situation, and I shouldn't have been served (or not served) as such. However, I soon there after got another call... explaining that they had spoken with the contracter in question, and they seemingly believe him at his word, vs. dealing with me, the potentially paying customer. So I'm letting it go, sticking with my bunny ears, and I upped my NetFlix subscription instead.
Sure, I'm missing out on a sweet deal (reduced rates for 10 months, a free dual reciever/two-room 100 hour dvr upgrade, and even 3 months of free movie channels) and the only way to get my hands on Noggin/TheN, the WB/CV, and other coveted channels I'd had my eyes on. But I have to draw the line at fighting with a company for them to simply do their job, all the while ready (wallet in hand) to fork over an exorbinant amount on a monthly basis. That I can do without.
So, for now, I do without the fancy TV.
