pimp my ride
Nothing makes a long ride better than a nice system to accompany you along the way. Believe me, I know. Not only have I driven the long ride with just enough to pull me through... But I've suffered through periods of not even a tune!
In this day & age, iPod integration is essential in my book. From the looks of it, Dixons has the best in car audio systems around. A vast array of brands and basics... and more importantly, the kind of equipment that could truly set you apart! recently changing their store front to online-only, you can take advantage of exclusive deals & some of the best car-pimpin' products out there!

dupification
well, there you have it folks... my YouTube guilty pleasure is just that: a guilty pleasure. Not any different or unlike others (ex: 90210, Degrassi, Gilmore Girls, etc.) It's a fake. No real lonelygirl15 or danielbeast; they're "aspiring" actors who've been caught.
there's more where that came from...
Supposedly the webisodes will continue... *shrug* I'll just have to see how long I stay glued to the tiny screen, the illusion is lost & I'm not sure how I feel knowing it's faux, now. Then again, I'm all about the drauma! Faked only helps the escapism factor for moi! ...enough already!

make me a mortgage
Around here, not only is a house hard to come by... but the money to pay for one, even worse! With sky-high housing costs (thanks to the lovely valley!) a young adult is hard-pressed to conjure up a sufficient loan, let alone maintain one. I know, after speaking with mortgage brokers, options are slim.
What works best around here? What would I prefer: lower interest rates? or lower closing costs? In the long run, whats important is getting in the door... so my brain tells me that a lower interest rate would be preferrable; allowing for a slightly lower monthly payment. This figures in that closing costs aren't unreasonable. But, from my standpoint, at this time specifically, bring on the lowest interest you can conjure!
there's more where that came from...
Looking at mortgage brokers online you can easily plug in your information, needs, and desired $tuff$... and a fancy calculator will give you a better idea of what you are in for. Follow broker blogs and get an inside scoop into ideas, competition, and the ways of the market. Plus, you can read lots of helpful information on the subject/s, for your own optimized experience/benefit. ...enough already!

the road to zion
Estelle continues her travels... visiting and featuring Zion National Park. A nation natural treasure, with vast canyons, beautiful colors, and a glorious feel.
I visited Zion, long ago (I think I was in highschool, maybe even just middle school!) on a road trip with my father & visiting grandparents. Among the myriad of "visual" places we visited, this is the one that had always stuck out to me. I can almost close my eyes and see it now!
I don't believe I was a christian at the time, but the mere beauty of it all struck me, deep to the core... His Hand was obvious to me, even then, although I couldn't put my finger on it. Unfortunately, I was simply along for the ride. So we did a lot of getting in & out of the car, while I would have much rather liked to have sat & basked longer at each stop. I remember being greatly inspired to journal, and write lots in those days...
there's more where that came from...
Estelle not only has great videos to give you a glimpse into some fun places to see (like the Emerald Pool & Checkerboard Mesa), but she's got great in-depth information to do all your best pre-planning for the trip! Included in the latest videos, is a specialized Zion Hiking Safety video & a specific Zion Hiking Trails feature. A whle new way to look at vacation ideas, much better than boring old tour guides (most of which are quickly outdated once you purchase them!)
Estelle Reyna (the beautiful supermodel that she is) makes fun, entertaining, and educational videos about all sorts of locations, sending out a daily podcast to get your vacation & travel juices flowing! (Plus, now, you can get the podcast setup easily in itunes; direct upload to your iPod, baby!) Sharing inside secrets to a destination, adding local flavor, and even mixing it up by offering the videos ¡en español! [El Parque Nacional de Zion.]
Don't forget to check out all the great places she's visited... and seriously consider a trip out to Zion sometime (and give me a holler if you're goin' there. I'd love to hop along!) using all this new-found knowledge & insight! ...enough already!

interview questions
I spent the greater part of the morning going to (and through) interviews. 3 in less than 24 hours? works for me!
It was nice to feel so confident & mostly at ease during each inquisition. Despite the fact that I got thrown some massive questions, I was able to search through my mental rolodex of experiences to draw from. On an encouraging note: in both interviews today an interviewer actually took the time, in the midst of things to assure me I was "doing really well"/I've "got really good answers". That's abnormal...
there's more where that came from...
So, after all that. I'm feeling pretty good about the possible outcomes, & beyond, of these positions. Seriously looking into my brain, trying to fathom new schedules, atmospheres, praying about where would be best, etc. Towards the end of the day my current [temporary] boss came to the desk I'm working at to share that she has inquired if they can possibly keep me on for another month... with the understanding that's I'm actively looking elsewhere. Talk about provision. Of course, nothing's set. But it's nice to know my work is recognized, appreciated, and coveted... and that the woman who I work for is 'on my side' & doing al she can to help me! ...enough already!
