things the go bump in the night
so... last night, I'm sleeping... after a really late start. Suddenly I hear a loud crashing sound. Loud enough that I'm 100% startled out of my sleeping state! I immediately freaked, it seriously sounded like someone trying to get in my door!
Now here's where I started to panic. My heart was pounding, racing uncontrolably, I could hardly keep my breath quiet enough to clearly hear any further noise infractions. You see, I was realizing my sliding glass door was open, and my front door wasn't properly locked.
there's more where that came from...
It probably took me a good half hour to calm down, and cautiously get out of bed & close everything up tight. By then I was wide awake, mind racing, and the night was quickly turning into morn. Needless to say I was quick to repeatedly hit snooze this morning!
Funny thing is, tonight, I believe I came across the culprit. I found my nalgene (the one I had propped onto the dish drainer precariously,) in the sink. It surely lost its balance, and fell into the sink, rattling everything else in there... loud enough to wake me. ...enough already!

this has been a can't sleep, laugh at me, woe is me entry
let's get fit
So, it's time to get with the/a program... figure out exactly what works, what doesn't, what motivates, what thrives, etc. One place to start: a Bodybuilding Forum, where members can get such questions answered by the best at the game! From routines & training to nutriton & supplements... getting your facts straight, and having people to share strengths & frustrations with is part of the battle! Let's equip ourselves with better focus, and accountability; let's make this season a reason to celebrate personal health/fitness... *setting personal goals*

like a moth to the flame, burned by the fire
I chose not to go down to the local service commemorating 9/11, mostly due to the fact that I knew I wouldn't be able to handle it alone & maintain any semblance of composure, certainly not enough to get me safely home again. Instead I find myself drawn into the television coverage (all over again) bawling into my bowl of heated up left-overs...
there's more where that came from...
Inside Edition has some amazing stuff as they were there, at the forefront, as each tower collapsed and even police & firefighters were filled with fear!
Loved ones' final messages (voicemail in the midst of mass chaos & confusion,) a mother's flight by [bare] foot, a newscaster crying on her producer's shoulder, firefighters being carried away by their fellow men, a business man covered in ash apparentally disoriented, the visual of everything going completely black as a cameraman is running & filming... stating he wanted to simply lie down as he couldn't even breathe. I'm speechless! ...enough already!

virtual dress-up
Every pre-teen, tween, teenage, and even beyond 'girl' wants to make her statement to the world as an individual. A beautiful, trendy, individual at that! With the internet, blogs, myspace & other networking sites. They are dressing their pages up with vibrant colors, cutesy pictures, and emo statements. Add to all that a personalized avatar from the Dollmaker Dress Up Games for girls, and she'll be in virtual girly-pie heaven!
there's more where that came from...
I've always been one to follow a meme, play with new interactive avatar/mini-me makers. So I thought I'd give this impressive dollmaker a try for myself. As I began to peruse the place I soon found myself nearly lost in the many options, there's something for everyone here (even the guys!) From prep to goth & angels to mermaids, the options are endless. I finally settled into my celebrity vibe and made a glammed out version of myself... formal attire, a barrier for the paprazzi, and all the beauty that is my luscious mane! *sigh* someday!
It was fun to play the virtual fashion game, and surprisingly simple to get the created image into whatever format I wanted (for use on myspace, in im, an email, or even a forum...) There's so much more to the site; there expanded capabilities by going premium, opening up a whole new door of possibilities. Oh my! What girl wouldn't want to "doll" herself up!? ...enough already!

provision perspective
His provision, His faithfulness, is so huge! He meets when least expected & provides in ways we don't always see/recognize. I feel, strangely, like I'm having one of those, "Meh, he can have the money, I'll take the girl!" moments. Sure, I need the money, but He's providing for me in ways that are so much more important right now. Meanwhile, the moolah is what's necessary elsewhere!
there's more where that came from...
I hear Him, His whispers are reaching mine ears... keep it comin', *sings MickeyD's ba-da-bop-bop-bah* I'm lovin' it! ...enough already!

are you ready for some football?
It's that time of year again... Monday Night football reigns supreme in the hearts of many, while others long for those hometown friday nights of highschool games. Yet everyone can get into the fun of Fantasy Football; cash, prizes, and the genuine fantasy fun of creating your own football team/s to follow! How can you go wrong?
there's more where that came from...
The AFFL has some impressive payouts for a Fantasy Football League. They have a live draft demo for you to preview before making the jump, and their set-up is easy/intuitive to use. You can sign up, now! Who knows you could be the next big winner!
History (or maybe it was just Jessica Simpson on Newlyweds) shows us that it doesn't take a football expert to score big in these things. It's anyone's game! ...enough already!

Today is a day to look back, reflect... rejoice in the freedom we have, rejoice in the freedom we defend... and remember we are not invincible, remember there are many who suffer[ed].

everything still seems so vivid to me!
Saturday night we each shared our experiences (Jonathan, Beth, & then myself) on the drive home... varied, seperate, yet the same in severity & seriousness.
I'll never forget.
[I thought it was over., originally uploaded by *Hiro.] ...enough already!
