so, the doctor's orders (after removing the stitches last week) were no use of the entire appendage for another month!
no extra finger use, no arm use, or carrying things, etc. growl!
the scar area looks loads better now then it did that fateful day.. still pretty intense & all, but getting there.
meanwhile I'm trying to massage the scar tissue/skin, do my range of motion (manually manipulating the finger to bend & straighten correctly) but both of those feats are pure torture! major painful!
