Bethy's Christmas Survey
- Hot Chocolate or apple cider? mmm... Cider! all spiced/spruced up! *holds faux cup up to jonathan*
- Turkey or Ham? turkey... not a big ham fan, although there is this ham that's so succulent, even _I_ admit it's pretty scrumptious!
- Do you get a fake, real from a lot, or you cut it yourself? last year jonathan & I trudged through the woods at my parent's house and cut a fresh one down... this year, in the snowstorm, I got one from the Hotel... they had done all their decorating & found it unnecessary, still it is fresh, lovely, and currently smelling the place up in hopes of Christmas (still need to decorate it though!)
- Decorations on the outside of your house? not so much, I'm pretty inept when it comes to _big_ projects like that... last year I was shut into my office while andy & jonathan took over the decorating at my house!
- Snowball fights or sledding? sort of a sore subject right now... let's move on, quickly!
- Do you like hanging around the fireplace because it's warm? what sort of a question was that? *confused* no, frankly I chill there for the breeze! *making confounded faces*
- Do you enjoy going downtown shopping? downtown HoodRiver: no way, no how... only at the right moment. downtown PTown: I'm more of a mall girl, but whatever!
- Favorite Christmas song? O Come, O Come, Emmanuel
- How do you feel about Christmas movies? *giggle* definite guilty pleasure!
- When is it too early to start listening to Christmas music? I make ginormous efforts to contain it to after both my birthday & Thanksgiving!
- Stockings before or after presents? always been before!
- Carolers, do you or do you not watch and listen to them? they've never come around anywhere I lived... I've only experienced it from the carolling side!
- Go to someone else's house or they come to you? I go "home" for the holidays... dad's & mom's, usually respectively!
- Do you read the Christmas Story? I might on my own, but not corporately as a fam... mine's not so believin'
- What is your favorite thing to do at Christmas? give gifts... not that I've been able to do that as much as I'd like over the last, many, tumultuous years
- What is your favorite holiday smell? the tree... and yummy baking!
- Ice skating or walking around the mall? *sigh* oh to have company to ice skate with!
- Favorite Christmas memory?
- Favorite Part about winter? snow, and how everything/everyone seeming slows down in its wake!
- How do reindeer fly? duh, magic!
- Do you like to give or receive presents? both... prefer the giving, especially those extra-perfectly planned ones *sigh* that's the best!
- Do you send holiday cards? somewhat... last year I dispersed cds!
- Is Santa real? haven't you seen Narnia!?
- Is Rudolph real? duh, classic display of the underdog truly shining! (ok, so that was an unintentional pun, I promise!)
- Ever kissed under mistletoe? someday...
- What goes on the top of your tree? we'll see... last year jonathan managed to plant a star there.
- Thoughts on Eggnog: yum! I once came flying back into the country only to b-line it straight to a Starbucks kiosk in the NY airport to get my chilled hands on a nice cup of eggnog latte!
- Certain person you want to kiss under mistletoe? hey, this isn't a kiss & tell!
- Favorite winter sport? making snow angels
- Favorite Christmas movie? currently: Elf
- Think the holidays are overrated? now... just over commercialized!
