what a day... and it's a Sunday!
I barely drove down the driveway this morning, well on my way to fun & adventure, only to find that I had obliterated a tire in the process!
Now stranded at the bottom of the driveway, sans cell service for the most part, I broke down... not just mechanically speaking, I lost it! I began bawling, as I tried calling any & everyone I could think of who might possibly be willing to trek up to timbuktu.
left a message for Jonathan, mostly seeking moral support since he's in Dodson for the weekend.
got lots of no answers... talked to Moriah enough to left her know I wouldn't make it to see/meet her at the HuckFest as planned... finally got Andy to come up & help, despite the scetchy recollection of how to get there.
meanwhile Jonathan called back, talked me up enough to attempt to start the process on my own, with the aide of his step by step directions and call backs... marking my call spot in the road with serious tennis-shoe scuffing... he kept me at it until Andy got there!
Andy, "my hero!" changed the sad remains of the tire to a temporary spare, giving me the explicit instructions to keep it at 60PSI & no faster than 50mph... driving off to hit work in time.
driving down the rest of the hill, I felt like I was about to careen into any and everything as I turned right... after much ado, come to find out I had only aprox 18psi vs. the 60... pumped her up, and I should be ok (staying under 50) until I can hit LesSchwab this week!
