Leslie sent me this list of Natural Highs long ago... as I was just perusing through my gmail... I decided to look them over, dream a bit, and simply reflect on my life, loves, and great goodness that is thus far.

1. Falling in love.
   yes, the falling part is fun... it's the wonking upon the ground soon thereafter that keeps getting me!
2. Laughing so hard your face hurts.
   oh the cheeks! or your stomach...
3. A hot shower.
   *closing eyes, tilting heading slightly back, imagining the wonderful water running over her face*
4. No lines at the supermarket.
   I especially appreciate no lines for the checkers that I know...
5. A special glance.
   from a special someone? even just the look that tells you that you're seen... you're known... and most certainly not overlooked, if not understood!
6. Getting mail.
   handwritten, snail mailed letters, are too far between these days... I too fall victim to the ease of other communications, but there's nothing like receiving a true letter unexpectedly!
7. Taking a drive on a pretty road.
   with a swift, yet safe driver behind the wheel, so you can simply sit back, relax, & thoroughly enjoy!
8. Hearing your favorite song on the radio.
   *suddenly singing* "Here I am, on the other side of the radio!"
9. Lying in bed listening to the rain outside.
   as long as there's no accompanying thunder & lightning... or if the latter is included, as long as I'm not alone!
10. Hot towels fresh out of the dryer.
    or putting on clothes, fresh out of the dryer... or getting a hug from someone who did!
11. Chocolate milkshake. (or vanilla or strawberry!)
    butterscotch! or eggnog, or pumpkin!
12. A bubble bath.
    Mr. Bubbles!
13. Giggling.
    *giggle & a smirk*
14. A good conversation.
    hmmmm... yeah!
15. The beach.
    on my list to accomplish this year!
16. Finding a 20 dollar bill in your coat from last winter.
    any $, anywhere works for me!
17. Laughing at yourself.
    being comfortable enough to do so... no?
18. Midnight phone calls that last for hours.
    it's been quite sometime since I've had one of those... anyone wanna go for a record!?
19. Running through sprinklers.
    *giddy grinning at memories of careless hours spent in our own backyard growing up!*
20. Laughing for absolutely no reason at all.
    helps to have folks around who encourage you to do so with all of your heart... hooray for peeps literally loving my laugh!
21. Having someone tell you that you're beautiful.
    tru dat!
22. Laughing at an inside joke.
    *grin*
23. Friends.
    um, der!
24. Accidentally overhearing someone say something nice about you.
    nothing like knowing it's genuine, unsolicited flattery!
25. Waking up and realizing you still have a few hours left to sleep.
    or just snuggle into the soft covers... and enjoy the ease of waking up slowly!
26. Your first kiss...
    *sigh*
27. Making new friends or spending time with old ones.
    not to mention... the #27!
28. Playing with a new puppy.
    animals are such amazing therapy... as can be small children, at times!
29. Having someone play with your hair.
    *melt*
30. Sweet dreams.
    we could all use those!
31. Hot chocolate.

32. Road trips with friends.

33. Swinging on swings.
    higher, and higher... till you feel weightless!
34. Making eye contact with a cute stranger.
    not so sure about the stranger part, but I'll take eye contact with a hottie any day!
35. Making chocolate chip cookies.
    with you bear hands!
36. Having your friends send you homemade cookies.
    care packages!
37. Holding hands with someone you care about.
    in the car, on the beach, at the table, during a movie, or just because!
38. Running into an old friend and realizing that some things (good or bad) never change.
    rekindling treasured friendships is priceless
39. Watching the expression on someone's face as they open a much desired present from you.
    work, time, efforts well spent!
40. Watching the sunrise.
    *reminded to add this to the aforementioned to do list*
41. Getting out of bed every morning and being grateful for another beautiful day.
    Thank you, Lord!
42. Knowing that somebody misses you.
    as opposed to simply missing someone, all on your own!
43. Getting a hug from someone you care about deeply.
    for no particular reason... and especially when you just, downright, need one!
44. Knowing you've done the right thing, no matter what other people think.
    still coming to grips with this one... honestly, I worry so much about what others think it inhibits me at times
