wow! wowie zowie, to say the least!
In going through endless amount of "stuff" last night, I discovered my down comforter, cover, sheets and mattress covered in cat pee... trying to come up with some sort of salvageable solution, I began making calls, gathering ideas, and soon crumpled onto the floor and began bawling. As my tears dried, the phone rang, and I spent the rest of the evening talking with mr jonathan (still going through random things.)
In the end I'd arranged for jonathan, andy, and my papa to come over and take away the bed [mattress, box springs, & frame], I left the comforter at the dry cleaners, & the cover was washed over, & over, & over again while I worked! We met at my dad's and promptly came over here to tackle the task at hand. They were quicker then I could have imagined...
As my dad was leaving, I some how finagled the other two guys to come back and help, packing boxes. They were amazing. It finally looks more like I'm moving, as opposed to just a dumpy house that I'm trying to organize. Poor Andrew looked like he was gonna swell up &/or pass out by the time they left. Aside from fighting hay-fever, he's allergic to cats/hair... he was sniveling and wiping his nose like there was no tomorrow. But he got a load of books, dvds, tapes, & beanie babies all boxed up.
Meanwhile, Jonathan tackled the bowing shelf he'd had pity on since his first visit. He loaded up fruit boxes with various canned food items, and finally went after manky mugs, glasses, and the more fancy-schmancy breakables throughout the house.
I was so excited, I couldn't help but dance about in the driveway, as they were preparing to leave, singing, "I have friends!"
