So yesterday's swimming episode wasn't all it was cracked up to be. through the extended bout of inclement weather we had all last week a major breeding of mosquitos occurred, and they were out for blood! literally.
you could hardly stand along the shore for more the 2.7 seconds and you were immediately attacked! I killed 7 on my arm in one long slap, alas they had gotten me first... so here I sit, and spotted and swollen, itching like nobody's business, and covered in pink splotches of calamine from head to toe. it's gross, not to mention highly irritating and uncomfortable.
there's more where that came from...
On another, much geekier, note: I finally made the dive for 3.0... for work. now that a 501(c)3 can get a freebie, I thought I'd give it a whirl... lo and behold, it's yummy!
All super shnazzy with the layout, the comment and trackback interfaces are incredibly intuitive... now if I cold just locate my 1/2 price key for my own personal edition download, so as not to be illegal on the homefront... I'm aching to upgrade this here installation and really put the wheels to the road and give it a run for it's money
Today has been quite the accomplishment in the tech end of my work world, as I was also able to hook us up with a rather benevolent price for renewing our anti-virus software! w00t! for moi.
on the super-sad side: mr. jonathan has fallen ill *pouty face* He called me at the beginning of the day for prayer, and has now actually gone home early (dropping off Erika's b-day gift along the way.) I sent him along his way with a nice pack of echinacea, some emer'gen-c, various teas, a special Reese's, a card, and explicit instructions to rest up... get well... and such!
please pray for him!
