hot on the tails of divine appointments and such... let us not forget how great an impact we can have on others lives without having to step up and toot our own horns!

Anonymous kindness
Thank you, anonymous person, for your kindness. Thank you for restoring to me a bit of the faith that is so hard to find while I have fallen on hard times.
I stood quite sullen in line at the checkout counter in Rosauers market on April Fools Day. All around the market, aisles were teeming with holiday shoppers who had turned out for the 13-hour sale. I on the other hand, had turned out to buy a few necessities to put in my empty fridge.

Unfortunately, my food stamp allotment had not been posted to my account and the cashier informed me that there were insufficient funds. I apologized before leaving but I couldn't get to my car fast enough. The manager of the store ran to reach me in time.
He handed me the bags of groceries explaining that an anonymous person had paid for them. I cried all the way home.
