so I'm barely home... sit down, Pacey hops up next to me and I'm suddenly getting the sniff down! I've never seen Pacey inhale so quickly and often in my life... it was like he was on something or hyperventilating through his nose...
I'm sure it was appropriate as I have a dreadfully mejunge of odor entrapped in my follicles!
there's more where that came from...
I went swimming today... wore myself out like there's no tomorrow... *holds up fingers rapper style, in the back handed "2"* twice!
It was Girl Scout swim day at the pool. We packed up the cars, I donned my soon to be swimming in suit, and many little girls were soon splashing around giddily. Briseida, in particular (and Diana some too,) chose to spend the great majority of the afternoon, semi-swim chasing me around the pool. Now, I'm a big time mermaid, we all know this... but warmer water, and constant attention and movement makes for an intense workout and wear down. I'm more used to the river's refreshing and oft invigorating temps, as well as casual lingering around as you enjoy the rays and good company in the waves!
I left the pool womped beyond all get out... nearly collapsed into Tor's couch as I stopped by to say hey and watch the new VeggieTales. When it was over, as we headed out the door "together, yet separate", he somehow convinced to drop by the church in congratulatory mode as Chicky & Narlie were stepping back into the leadership position.
I was greeted at the door by a sly smiling Jonathan who quickly said, "You don't have a middle name!" (so much for my Rumpelstiltskinian efforts... shot down!) and the rest is a night of lasting history...
great worship *sigh*, good Word, random moments, a quick drive/night tour, and um... well... night swimming!?
Erika somehow got it in her head to drive on down to the port and hop into the lovely [insert: ice cold!] river for a brief swimming stint. and after a chat with her all about risk taking moments, memories, possible random summer plans, etc... I decided to join in!
*shaking head while still semi-shivering* What was I thinking!? Granted, I was the first one in, and one of only two who actually dove all the way in, head, hair, et al. *u:ber proud* but I quickly screamed, as soon as air re filled my lungs, and made my way out asap! I couldn't feel my feet, toes, nada! Tor helped me into a seated bundled position in the van, while I proceeded to allow blood to recirculate along my veins, arteries, wherever needed, etc.
So now you see why Pacey was so intent on figuring out what the heck smell/s were wafting out of my head... a gross blend of intensified chlorine... and nummy river water/residue. *can't wait for a nice warm shower*
...enough already!
