So I'm in eugene, travelling for work (a conference about domestic violence, children, investigation, police response, etc.) and get the added bonus of spending fun times with miss nela!
on tuesday night we went to "the Garden, where I guess they grow the Olives..." mmmmy, then to her dorm room to watch some telly/veg, do some techy amancay stuff, and then shop for junk food & drinks with her abundance of points. yesterday we caught a movie for $1 "yeah, baby!" and then hit a Red Robin around the corner form my hotel. Over scrumptious burgers we caught up, sometimes laughing hysterically at each other's antics.
She actually stayed with me in the hotel last night *finger over mouth, instilling 'hush'* I tried to teach her how to crochet (see was excitedly impressed with what I'd come up with throughout the day, and actually asked if I had more yarn she could work with) but she was tired... and despite fair efforts, got frustrated. She's stayed over to take advantage of a one person [vs. 3] shower, sleeping in without interuption, tackling some homework in a quiet environment, and she'll be taking the car back with her... returning after work study with two gal pals ready to hit the sushi bar [*with utmost sarcastic enthusiasm* "I'm glad you like sushi; that way someone appreciates it" - my Mathys]
