big thanks to amanda for this week's questions
Despite the apparent masses, I'm all abouts the linkage, baby... so bring it!
- Is the name you have now the same name that's on your birth certificate? If not, what's changed? "Um..." *hears familiar voice in head, 'I like that word!'* as far as I know *goes to check certified wallet copy in purse, realizes 'wrong purse...'* unless my parents have lied to me from the get-go. And, no, I haven't changed it... yet... nor I'm I sure how I feel about changing it anytime in the future!?
- If you could change your name (first, middle and/or last), what would it be? *notes she's getting ahead of herself, as usual* I have no reason to, unless it is taking on a married name. However, I am admittedly cautious about even that. You see, if I were to marry a 'Joe-Blow' named fella I'd think long and hard about becoming Amancay Smith... yet if I end up with a man who bears a lovely, eloquent, and complementary name [to mine] it's a much more likely possibility.
- Why were you named what you were? (Is there a story behind it? Who specifically was responsible for naming you?) According to my madre, she came up with it from early on... yet my father doth protesteth much. He was more into such names that when brought into an english speaking culture would be butchered/lose all beauty [*spanish accent/pronunciation* Verónica vs. *"American"-ized* Veronica (aka the Archie vixen)]. So as he would conjure ideas, our language would prove them faulty, mom would continue to insist upon Amancay... little did dad remember, "Us women are always right!"
- Are there any names you really hate or love? What are they and why? there are loads of guy names I'm in love with *prays she can come up with good girl names before bearing children*. I suck with regular-shmegular names: joe, john, jason, mark, matt, larry, etc... so I'm all about the flair, baby!
- Is the analysis of your name at kabalarians/triggur/astroexpert accurate? How or how isn't it? not accurate in the least, across the board. You see, first and foremost, I look to the Father for my insight, guidance, etc. not the stars He made... secondly, many of these things [read: horoscopes, initial 'readings', etc] can be done so vaguely that anyone can make them fit themselves should they choose to do so... (with the exception of the lame-o attempt at a joke that is triggur!)
I know who I am, I know who I am planned to be, and none of that will sway me in the least!
wow, I'm finished and it's exactly 10:00 sweet!
