perfect timing... I spent all afternoon/evening registering books at BookCrossing. From random things I'd never read to all-time favorites, I lost track of time. Now Christine wants to know what I'm reading...
- Newspapers or magazines? I flip through the local paper, and read interesting articles out of all sorts of magazines
- Books-on-tape or regular books? real books, I prefer to listen to music in the car
- Paperback or hardcover? paperback, I was just noting, today, my avoidance of hardcovers.
- Fiction or non-fiction? fiction. I like reading real stuff, but for the most part, my reading is an escape.
- Sci-Fi/Fantasy or romance novels? romance over sci-fi any day!
- Borrow from library or buy books (either new or used)? BookCrossing!
- Subscribe to magazines or buy on newsstand? I have a couple subscription I never signed up for (freebies, maybe?) and I tend to read/thumb-through whatever everyone else gets (mom, nela, etc.)
- Current best-sellers or classic literature? guilty pleasures (tween stuff: series such as Sweet Valley, BSC, etc.)
- Read books once, or re-read favorites every so often? favorites deserve a re-read
- Here in the U.S., we have two hot best-sellers...former First Lady Hillary Clinton's memoirs, and the new Harry Potter book (coming out June 21). If you had to read one, which one...Hillary or Harry? Why? Hillary if forced to pick one, neither otherwise. Because Harry Potter is merely not something of interest to me, and Hillary isn't much either
