just in time...
we're making a jump, baby! soon
I'm in the process of getting Sara all set up with an mt blog (not to mention the work one which has my panties in a bundle). That is, if I can convince her that not only does she need it, she wants it bad! *giggle*
there's more where that came from...
So, an upgrade right around that time would be the bomb! upgrades always mean more user friendly/exciting capabilities without as much hassle *cough*plug-ins*cough*.
Now, how can I get her into our little circle of thinking? *twiddles finger maniacally [it's a word... I looked it up!]*
...enough already!

Feeling crappy. Aunt Flo is coming. Want to eat chocolate and lie on the couch with a blanket and my cat. Is the day over yet?

I always peruse the local internet classifieds, especially at work, for tid bits of info: who's hiring, what's for rent, odds & ends for sale, etc.
Today I found something that I would like to share for those who have a special place in their hearts for dogs or animals in general.
there's more where that came from...
We just recieved this email, please help if you can:
Hello everyone,
Some of you may already be aware of this rescue that is happening near Boise, ID. There was a search warrant served by law enforcement last night in Malheur County, OR, with the anticipation of seizing up to 200 dogs.
The Second Chance Animal Shelter out of Payette, ID coordinated this rescue. By the time they had transported the last of the dogs early this morning the count was at least 500 dogs. They were not prepared for this magnitude of rescue and are asking for any assistance that anyone could give them at this time. I don't know specifics on what breeds there are, but any of you that are breed specific rescues might check with them.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Please circulate this info to anyone else that might be able to help.
The contact info is:

There is an emergency fund being setup for Second Chance Shelter at Intermountain Community Bank

This is what we know :
We called their bank. They are legitimate, they are a non-profit organization that has existed for a few years and when this horror blew up in their area they took on the responsibility of these dogs.
Someone donated a huge building, there have been many donations of wire, pens, lumber, plumbers have donated their time to make the building liveable. Donations are pouring into the bank and they can use everything they can get. They don't have enough man-power to have someone manning the phone for Second Chance Shelter, but if you call the bank they will answer any and all questions.
There are apparently 600 dogs, confiscated from a residence.
...enough already!
