wow! the musical is finally over... after an exhausting three weeks of shows (and months of rehearsals for the cast and crew) the beautiful production took its final bow tonight.
I've been meaning to write a bit about everyone involved, and simply haven't had/taken the time to do so thoroughly enough. I shall attempt to do so now (with the left over energy from this evening!)
(simple side note [before we get started]: Kenneth (new Shari's guy) assured me, "...you don't look a day over 16". In the wake of my pending 25th... this is wonderful news to me. Whether it was said as a flirtatious move or not, I couldn't say... and frankly I don't care! My ego was happy to take the boost.)
First and foremost, everyone as a whole, was amazing in Les Miz... I was (and continue to be) tremendously impressed night after night after night. Endless enthusiasm, glowing faces, great demeanors, and whole-hearted performances were a given.
Phew! I just compiled the complete listing (at least those I know and/or can comment on) and I've got my work cut out for me, this may very well turn into a two-parter:
Kent Arbon (Chain Gang Convict, Sailor, Enjolras): What a voice! He is a complete powerhouse of strong emotionally driven vocals. This boy could bring together a strong bunch of couch potatos if need be. Plus, as Jeff pointed out, "he got to tote a gun around most of the time" how cool is that? (apparently it is... at least to Jeff)
Rob Chrisman (Chain Gang Convict, Bamatabois): I would say that I didn't know Rob could sing... but then again, I did
ok, sadly enough [an hour later: 02:19] I'm going to have to call it quits... ttfn *giggle*
