tis tuesday [this-or-that: august 13, 2002]

I was trying my danged-est to avoid the tuesday: this-or-that this week... alas, Kymberlie @ the Fishbowl wooed me with her post. So without further ado (I really do need to learn how to introduce these differently!) here is a take on children's books. Megan (and Alicia) should love this one!

  1. Dr. Seuss characters: the Cat in the Hat or the Grinch? The Grinch wasn't nice... so the Cat (who could resist a kitty in a hat?)
  2. "Anne of Green Gables" or "Little Women"? Canela created highly loved memories of Little Women for me!
  3. Nancy Drew or the Hardy Boys? Nancy Drew (the Relient K song is the bomb!)
  4. Winnie the Pooh characters: Tigger or Eeyore? Eeyore is much closer to purple than Tigger (hint: purple is a plus), but Tigger's got his own song!
  5. Which author: Judy Blume or Beverly Cleary? Blubber or Ramona Quimby, Age 8? Just As Long As We're Together or Runaway Ralph? Forever or Socks? Apples & oranges as far as I'm concerned: two totally different times in my life!
  6. Roald Dahl books: "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory" (Willy Wonka) or "James & the Giant Peach"? The BFG... unless we're talking movie, then it's Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka.
  7. "Harry Potter" or "The Wizard of Oz"? Does that say anything about how I feel? Not that it makes any difference, but, are we talking books or movies (yet again!) the Wizard was one of the first "big" books I remember reading!
  8. Curious George or Madeline? Monkeys rule (and men with yellow hats!)
  9. "A Wrinkle in Time" or "Little House on the Prairie"? the real question was: "Little House" or "Star Trek"? They were on at the same time and all hell broke loose in the tv room at the main house! (Rache & I vs. Kyle & Matt... plus others on either side!)
  10. Dr. Seuss again: "Horton Hears a Who" or "The Lorax"? Thanks to Seuss-ical I've learned to remember: *singing in her best elephanty voice* "A person's a person, no matter how small!"
