What a day! I slept well!(?) I caught up with SaraSue. I ate lunch with an old Harvey's buddy. Then I spent some more time with Sara. I ended up at the Rich-Wimmer's... cleaning, organizing, resting. Finally, I went to a youthy thing with Tor: Pietro's for PacMan & pizza, then the marina for worship, word, and 'what a' walk!
Now I'm back home ti-red... and attempting to fill out the friday 5 *gulp*
- What is your current occupation? Is this what you chose to be doing at this point in your life? Why or why not? I'm a Bilingual Victim Advocate for an organization dealing with domestic violence, sexual assault, and young woman who have been victims of crime or are otherwise homeless. It was what was available for work when I applied, which I personally think was a "God thing", but I love it... and know it's where I'm supposed to be!
- If time/talent/money were no object, what would your dream occupation be? Net surfing, baby! *looks around for the dew she knows she got out of the fridge*
- What did/do your parents do for a living? Has this had any influence on your career choices? All 4 work in social service of some sort or another... in other words, yes... I'm following close behind their footsteps: work that doesn't just pay the bills, it means something!
- Have you ever had to choose between having a career and having a family? not yet... but the decision's already made in my mind
- In your opinion, what is the easiest job in the world? What is the hardest? Why? easy: maytag repair man; hard: underwater basket weaver
