Phew! What a day! I had the boys for the day, and we went over to Dawn's (aka "Ian's") to play. Play they did... all day long, outside, inside... quietly, not so quietly... until finally it was time to take them home. While we were there, I got to help Dawn can pickled green beans... yum!
It's not often that I'm so busy on a monday. This week's mission is great! Read on:
- What do you do to make things better when you feel sad and/or lonely? *deep breath* I guess I would generally attempt to alleviate things by singing, "La la la laaaa!" finding something to laugh at, or even just letting myself feel everything... and just get it out and over with!
- Are you a "touchy-feely" person? That is, do you like to touch people you don't know that well? And on the flipside of that, do you like being touched by someone you aren't close with? *raises hand* "Hi, I'm Amancay, and I'm a 'touchy-feely' person." Not necessarily with random people... but I do drop boundaries rather quickly once I feel "comfortable." However, on the flip-side, I have had the experience where someone else (usually a shmarmy guy of sorts) has decided the comfort level... and I wasn't in complete agreement... gross!
- Do you like to have "me" time, time to yourself to be alone and relax? Or do you prefer to just do your own thing with someone else in the room? When was the last "me" time you got and what did you do? As much of an outgoing people person I am, I still appreciate my me/alone time... oddly enough, lately I can't seem to get my fill. I could really just hang out at home... maybe it's 'cause I haven't truly relaxed!?
- Generally speaking, how do you feel about the concept of marriage? Are you the marrying type? Do you think the act of getting married means something today or is it simply just "a piece of paper?" Marriage is sacred, something to be taken seriously. Definitely more than "just a piece of paper!" I pray that someday, when God so sees fit, that I too will be married!
- If there was one law you had the ability to create or change, what would it be? An upheaval of Roe vs. Wade might make my day. Then again, I'm a believer in the whole "Prohibition doesn't do the trick" theory... so I don't think that would appropriately deal with the issue at hand!
- What would you like someone visiting your Blog for the first time to know about you? Now is your chance! Other that the fact that I'm the bomb!... I full on love it when you leave comments (for the blog navigating challenged: you can do so by clicking on the monkey-ish saying below)... and, to make sure you don't miss a beat, there's a notification list (again for the blog navigation challenged: sign up using the form towards the bottom of the sidebar!)
That said, as many as 25 states have passed legislation regulating who they believe should be the "marrying type." What are your thoughts on the banning of same-sex marriages? Bluntly, I agree! I see no reason to condone sin any further by making the "unions" somehow legal!
