"do you know you are very strong?"
ah... the joy of a good book! Over and over and over again... it never gets old or un-exciting. We all know I love it! Heck, I remember I once had a group of friends in Argentina either at the edge of their seats, or peeing their pants... and they didn't even speak english!
Tonight I took a Goodwill copy over to the Rich-Wimmer's. Tor claimed to have never read it before [what a pitiful childhood he must have lead... *shakes head solemnly*] After at least 3 go rounds... the boys were still up for more! Woo Hoo!

manic monday [PromoGuy's Monday Mission 2.33]
Oh, before I begin/forget, PromoGuy's sweet snaps from his EyeModule gave me a sick taste of the wants... anyone wanna cure me?
*in her best Archibald Asparagus announcer voice* ... and now it's time for mondays with amancay, so without further ado... mondays, with amancay!
there's more where that came from...
- Many children have blankets, or a favorite nubby stuffed animal that they like to keep near them for security. Do you recall what you had for your "security blanket" as a child? When did you finally give it up? What brought that about?
I don't think i really had something I would've fallen apart without... I did have Mr. Pink Panther that my aunt Jenni had given me when I was too little to remember. I loved him some much, for so long... that he's bare foam in some parts. Carol had to make him clothes so he wouldn't become unstuffed.
- Now that you are a big kid, what do you have to give you that same sense of security?
aside from my kitties, I'd go with my flying buddy: Super Grover! He's traveled many miles (back and forth and back and forth, between here and various locations of Argentina) with me, providing much needed warmth and cuddles!
- With a little over four months left in 2002, have you accomplished everything you wanted to for the year? Is there anything that you would like to accomplish before the year is over?
Phew! That's a biggie. I'm not a "New Year's Resolution" girl at all... I'm a "life long plan" kind of gal. So, yes, I've accomplished (and I'm in the middle of such an accomplishment) much in this year, on a personal note.
- I don't know about you, but it seems to me children have it pretty good these days. Game systems, computers in the home, microwaves, cable TV, the internet, cell phones and pagers, they certainly have a wider variety of technology than most of us did as children. What modern convenience, if any, do you think it would be good for children today to do without? What would they gain?
I think that all these specificly geared toys are dumb. Now you can have a MickeyD's drive-thru window, a grocery store checkout line, a kitchen with all labeled items, and much more unecessary exacts. When I was growing up, you used blocks as boxes of food... something round as a plate... and the possibilities were endless. What has been lost in the children and youth of today is their imaginations. Who needs to develop one if you have everything set-up for you?
- Many of us have one thing in which we believe we excel. What do you do better than most?
organize and sing, sometimes at the same time!
- In the United States, and possibly other countries, teenagers in High School usually wind up falling into several social circles or "cliques." Stoners, Rich Kids, Jocks, Cheerleaders, Band, Drama, Goths, and so on (though the names are probably different today). What High School "clique" did you find yourself in? Was it by choice or did it just happen? Did you look down on other groups? (Aw it's ok, it was/is High School, we all did dumb stuff)
I was really a wanderer, mingling amongst most every group. The only labels I could have actually acquired would be "Brain/Nerd" & "Jesus Freak/Holy Roller"
- (it begins) I have great news! I won the contest and we now have plane tickets to anywhere in the world. The bad news is we have to pick a place now and leave in the morning. I can't decide where to go, so you get to pick. Where should we go, and what is the first thing we should do when we get there?
do you really have to ask? Argentina here we come! First stop, pizza or papas fritas... or milanesa... or Emma's for the panqueque pile! Mmmmm the possibilities!
BONUS: Must I beg you? To go to Argentina? Never! ...enough already!
