I thought I'd give the Monday Mission a whirl... so bear with me.
- Do you remember your first encounter with computers? Tell me about that.
- How late can you stay up and still be functional the next day? Do you do that very often?
- When was the last really good hug you got from another adult? Who was it and what was the situation?
we had a commodore 64... and I would play Sea Speller (a dolphin that would dive down into the deep and grab words!)
I did so all weekend and even today... I simply can't sleep right now. My mind is in a blunder over this whole Creation Y2K2 stuff... aaaa! I even got up in the middle and posted a butt old entry. I really only got two to three hours of actual sleep... and I'm up and at 'em today!
Last night... phew! Dawn embraced me as I fell apart emotionally after watching her children. I love them to death, and they are great... Fiona was having a really hard time, and I could hardly stand to hear her be in such agony! Anywho, I lost it... she hugged me, it was great! I'm a basket case!
One thing about children is that they all like to draw. We all shared the same ability and skill level at one time. Do you still like to draw? (Not do you think you draw well, or do others, but do you like to?) If not, how come? Did you get discouraged at some point?
I'm more of a lettering kind of gal... I can't draw worth beans... I did come up with some award winning draws of me & Nela when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade (I've got the personalized Charlie LaVenture mug to prove it!) But for now I'd rather stick with fun decorative lettering! *cheesy grin attached at the end of the sentence*
I way overslept today. I had to head to work with no shower (don't get too close), and I am not in the best of moods. Have you ever overslept on a day you had something important going on? What's the story there?
Recently I actually slept completely through my morning meeting. Lucky for me the boss was out of town, and there weren't really any intakes to go over... in fact my co-worker didn't even realize I wasn't there until she was walking out of the building! I, of course, woke up in a panic!
Ever go shopping for something you know you can't afford? You look at it and even think about how it will look when you get it home, somehow you justify the cost and believe it can happen? And just before you get to the counter come to your senses? What was the last thing you almost bought, but thought better of it? And why the heck do we do that to ourselves?
Consumerism baby! I can't think of anything extra-ordinarily specific... but I know I've been doing it a lot lately what with the lack o' fundage coming my way (anyone wanna buy a dvd player?)
(It begins again...) It's all such a blur now. I'd asked you to help me wake up but the alarm didn't go off. It was 10 till and just I knew I'd be late. Somehow you got me here on time. How did you do that?
Ok, I'm new at this... can I admit utter confusion? *going with it* I fly by with my super-flying powers... sprinkled you with itching dust... and floated around and laughed until you had no choice but to wake up! *getting up to go to the bathroom before she pees her pants... ok, maybe not!*
Isn't that a song? there's more where that came from...
