As I sit here with the eminent sunrise, I thank God for the wonderful week/end I've just experienced! Included in that, somehow, was the realization of the caliber o' men we have living at the church.
Maybe it was E2 [that's my short-hand for Episode II] with Keith, or perhaps E2 (do I smell a pattern?) with Ben that kicked it off. But I was thrown into a wicked whirlwind of fun times in their midst. Either way you work it, Ben, Keith, & James rock the mic like vandals!
Tonight, er um last night was Keith's b-day. B-day equals par-tay for my crowd, so we worked it! I couldn't make it until after our home group culmination party (I know, I know, so many parties... so little of me to go around!) From the looks of it, I didn't miss the shebang. We pulled the party together with a random jam/worship session including: James, Ben, & Kevin [Kingrey] on guitars; various peoples with maracas or other shaky instruments; Paul and others on the true & makeshift didgeridoos; many getting their grooves on; plus Keith, Tyson, Danny and other alternates on hand drums of different shapes and sizes. It was a beautiful sound!
Once the scene scattered I miraculously weaseled my way into a game o' Risk with the guys. Thanks to an unspoken quasi alliance with James, I survived until the bittersweet end. The dice were on my side, so I was able to dwindle my opponent down to virtually nothing in comparison to the mass fronts he came at me with. However, alas, woe is me, recycled (he took over Paul's spot after his own personal apocalypse) newbie Justin [Menasco] wore down my warriors!
