9/X/00 - ellusive dreams

After organizing more of April & Joel's wedding pictures I got side tracked in my online journey. I went off on a tangent browsing through potential wedding bands and engagement rings. No, I'm not about to go out and propose to some guy I've never mentioned. First off I'm as old fashioned as they come in this concern. Secondly, there isn't even someone sticking out on the horizon.
So I am simply dreaming, fascinating, escaping my impending reality of singledom... I think you get my drift. Both Mandy and April got their men titanium rings from an online source. Right now there aren't too many different styles made, but everyday more possibilities open up. I was especially looking into the suspended diamond engagement rings. Wouldn't that be lovely on me? For now, I'll just keep dreaming! One thing I can contribute later is my wealh of knowledge on the wedding band subject.
After Bud (Ed Harris) saved himself and his [could've been broken] hand from a closing hydraulic emergency door as the compartment he was in filled with seawater [in The Abyss], the demand and interest in titanium rings has sky-rocketed. The replica of the ring in the movie is quite nice in my book (Joel didn't want it when they were looking because 'it is too common.') One of the nicest rings I've seen is basically what Mandy got Kevin. It's got a white gold or platinum inlay band. The last one that really stuck out in my mind had a true tale christian fish inlayed in gold. Of course, I'd only actually consider it if they could swing it in white gold or platinum. I'm not a big yellow gold fan.
So that's where my brain's been: in the single gutter of gloom. I know and trust that God has amazing plans for me and my future... I just can't help but wonder if He's chosen to give me a husband or not! Every guy who crosses my path only becomes a stepping stone towards the vision that God must have someone even better in store for me. But after such awesome men of God slip through your fingers, you begin to doubt that they come any better than that!
