23/VIII/00 - Dawn's Cleaning Service
Amazing as it may seem... my house is on it's merry little way to cleanliness. It's what many would consider a miracle, while I can consciously rack it up as the blessing of a wonderful friendship.
Monday morning I woke to my cell phone ringing. Dawn asked, "Where are ya?"
"On my couch," I answered.
"Are you sleeping?"
"I was"
"Well... I called to wake you up!"
Turns out she wanted me to watch Ian while she worked out some stuff with her bank. "... Then we can clean your house!" she said.
Well, I got up, went to her house, and we ate breakfast before she went off on her errands.
As soon as she got back we filled her car with cleaning utensils and supplies (plus some bonus book shelves for storage,) and we were off.
Wow, that woman can inspire an army of lackies! She had me tossing things right and left, moving out old furniture, actually organizing. Needless to say, it was just what the doctor ordered! |

- We interupt this broadcast to bring you this breaking news bulletin:
- I just ran across an old, old friend/classmate. Who knows why, but Mr. Elijah Woods was here (at the County Building, I'm temping for the Planning Dept.) with his fianceé along side. It's always such a joy to run into someone and semi-catch up. We've known each other forever, and he was visibly happy (who wouldn't be if they've got a beautiful fianceé by their side.)
- So the count goes up... one more happily coupled friend o' mine! We're takin' bets n' bids as to when it's my turn! Note: please, no one hold their breath, as even I can succumb to the fact that there are no present prospects.
Cutting back to reality... where was I? Oh, yeah, wrapping up. Sorry to disappoint you all. I've become an amazingly busy gal!
