11/III/00 - satin and strapless

squiggle, star, squiggle, star...

Sorry for the hiatus... I know it's been awhile. Of course, no one was e-mailing me saying "wassup?", so I wasn't too worried about being extraordinarily missed.

Okay, now fess up! Someone out there sent me Stuart Little... Who are you? Can't I at least get the satisfaction of saying thank you? In all truth, I was so freaked out by receiving it that I had to call Amazon just to make sure they hadn't sent (and charged) me accidentally. The customer service rep assured me that it was indeed a gift, and my account was not charged for the book. However, she could not divulge to me the identity of this generous blesser. So I'm left to resorting to strange pleas in my latest entry... until the mystery is solved.
Don't get me wrong, I am so extremely greatful and happy about getting this new book. I just love to be able to thank the right person... and bask in their thoughtfulness. My best guess is that someone finally took me up on my wish list. But then again I could be way off, nobody knows.

Yesterday I went to Beaverton to spend the day with Alicia. We were going shopping. She was looking for a gift for her sister who is turning 19, and I was looking for a dress for Paulette's wedding. I found one!!! It is beautiful! A strapless (good for showing off the tat) lavander ensemble that fits perfectly. I couldn't have dreamed up a more lovely dress. I was (and still am) so stoked. Now I just need to find a strapless bra... or conjure up a good use of duct tape (hey, cut me some slack... they were doing it on Oprah!), and some sweet high-ey shoes.

I almost forgot to mention... I've been listed in someone else's list of journals to read. Michelle has me in her list! Woo Hoo! Yea for lily of the valley!
Oops! I just found that reads as well... Are there more people out there that I don't know of???
