2/XII/99 - have you searched?

I'm such a complete dork! Last night I went home with intentions of posting my entries, and then getting off the computer to sleep (and let Ed call if he was so inclined.) As you may have guessed by now, I never really made it off of the computer as planned. You see, I finally discovered how to write the html to come up with the perfect solution to such a difficult background. It only took about fifteen trial runs, but I got it just how I wanted it, eventually.

I spotted my dorkdom when all of a sudden a ton of play folk were signed on to AIM. Ouch! I could have slapped myself silly. I jumped off-line and prayed they were just quick and he hadn't called yet, or that he had decided not to and went straight for bed. I didn't want the guilt of yet again making communication virtually (pun intended) impossible. About a half an hour later I curiosity got the best of me and I dialed *69... sure enough, he had been the last one to call! And I have the gall to miss it! Seems like we cross wires so much, it's insane. One does all the output, while the other just sits there and ignores it... then we do an immediate switch off. What futile coordination! In case some of you haven't noticed: I've added a search feature here on the site. I Personally I think it's pretty nifty! I've yet to decide which I like best. It will most likely have to do with whom I think provides the best search returns, quality (and frequency of) updating, and explanation of stats. Balance out all those features, and I'll narrow down the choices eventually. I'm also trying to find a good tracking system, eXtreme is okay, but you have to pay to track all of your pages. I'm looking for one that will easily tell me: what pages are being seen, where people are coming from to get to those pages, etc. If anyone has ideas, or better yet recommendations... please let me know!
