| This survey is from the Britian & Twisted webring... I'm thinking of joining. They say you don't have to be britian, but it just doesn't seem right to be in a webring with such a title not being Britian myself. So without further ado:
- Are you an idealist or a realist?
half full... half empty? You tell me!
- What are your views of people that smoke?
Other than the obvious fact that they stink, I understand it may be addictive, but they also need to realize the huge damage they are inflicting upon themselves and those around them at any given time. There are a lot of people at work who smoke, and even though they go outside to do so, I still feel like I'm exposed to way more of a smokey atmosphere then I would like to be. It reaks off of them constantly I could almost choke!
- Do you believe that life exists elsewhere in the Universe?
I think it would be extremely selfish and haughty of us to think that God is only capable of focusing on us as humans on the planet Earth. I'm not saying for sure that there is more intellegent life out there, just that you can't rule it out that simply.
- What does your favourite food taste like when you have a cold?
I couldn't say for sure, I'm not usually lucky enough, let alone hungry enough, to eat my fave foods when I'm sick enough to not taste them correctly.
- Voluntary Euthanasia: for or against?
I'm against doctors playing God. When it is time to expire and/or retire to your eternal destiny, it will happen naturally. Now taking extreme measures to save someone who is ready for their end, or is just going to live numreous years suffering immensely: that's insane. People should hav ethe right to maintain DNR orders!
- If you could transport yourself somewhere else right now, where would it be?
Right here, right now! I'd like to be able to talk to Paulette face to face to understand her whole "getting married" thing. We haven't been able to really discuss it. I don't know how excited, worried, nervous, or baffled she really is, and I'd like to do that communication face to face. For that goal, I'd need to be in Argentina: Córdoba to be more specific.
- How short does a skirt have to be before it is too short?
Short enough to show some undies when you bend over, reach up, or sit down.
- Is reality absolute?
- If you were God for the day who would you send a thunder bolt to and who would you make a saint for a day?
That's not what God does... He showers us with grace [undeserved mercy], love, and understanding.
- Is it more disgusting to find a hair in your sandwich or in your toothbrush?
What would a hair be doing in your toothbrush, how could it even get there?
- What epitaph would you choose for your headstone?
I pray that it could faithfully state: "Well done, my good and faithful servant". But in all truth I don't want to be morbidly buried, I'd rather be creamated and placed somewhere meaningful.
- Have you ever been arrested?
No. But April sure joked around about it while I was receiving a speeding ticket. She was trying to lighten up the mood.
- What one thing must you have?
God! Without him life is empty.
- Do you have any irrational fears?
Tiny little spiders or bugs scare the beejesus out of me!
- Have you ever sustained any injuries from sex?
I've never even had sex, so injuries would therefore be impossible.
- What was your best day ever?
Dang! I don't know any specific one day! Really and truthfully I'm not sure. Life is good!
- When was the last time you cried?
Monday: I get really dumb when I'm helpless. I felt all overwhelmed by my stupidity in injuring myself, and I get amazingly high expectations that those around me will be totally available not matter what priorities they already have. All in all it was a sad situation and I just kept losing it!
- What's the most evil thing you've ever done?
I'm sure it had to be in middle school. What one thing would it be? I'm not sure, but Monika sure was scared of me from time to time (I assure you it was only self-expressing threats, never anything I'd actually come out and follow through on!)
- What do sheep count?
- If you had a friend the same as yourself, how long would you remain friends with them?
Forever! They would definitely be faithful for sure, but way too forgiving to ever be able to exile!
- What do you see when your eyes are closed?
I'm tempted to say "the back of my eyelids"...?
- What is your most valuable possession?
In monetary value: my car. In true value: my camera, it was my dad's and I had coveted it from a very young age. He always promised me that when I was old enough to learn how to use it, he would give it to me.
- What are you getting away with right now?
- Did you have an imaginary friend as a child, and if so, what was their name?
I didn't need one. I could strike up a conversation with almost anyone, and if there wasn't anyone around, I was reading a book.
- Have you ever thought of or perpetrated the perfect crime?
Not really, but I must admit thinking that the people who commit crimes do so very stupidly. I'm sure I could do a much better job and pulling it off.
- What is your favourite season and why?
Winter! Snow is just full of all the free fun you can come up with. I enjoy just sitting in a warm house looking out at the bright stuff light up the whole day and evening!
- What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?
Brain: it's just as mushy as you might think, and I don't like it!
- If you could preserve a living person in ice for 100 years who would it be and why?
I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on all the good stuff going on right now!
- Do you believe in reincarnation?
- If you had to kill your own meat, would you become a vegetarian?
I'd be sure to marry someone who knows how to kill the meat good!
- Have you had any weird feedback from your diary? If so what was it and how did you deal with it?
Not yet, anyone want to give me some feedback???
- Do you believe in God?
I think that's been obvious from the beginning of this survey!
- What was the last really fantastic song that you heard?
- If you could swap sex for a day what would be the first thing you'd do?
I've always wanted to be able to just whip it out and relieve myself then and there!
- If you had the chance to be any character from a film/play/book - who would it be and why?
The little girl, Sophie, in The BFG. It's the book that is most present in my mind right now, and she got an amazing opportunity to see how the world (albeit fantasy) around her worked.
- How many pens are on your desk right this minute?
Here at home: only two. One that I got for free at Creation 99 from crossrock.com, and a really old Pentech DataTwin (fine point pen and highlighter in one) that's so dry I can't even sratch out a doodle!
Well, that's it for today. I'm gonna save the second survey for next time! Toodles!
I'm not one to consistently yell at the television, but the recent contestants on WWTBAM have almost made it into a new habit for me. C'mon! The guy today didn't even know the very first question: the $100 question for Pete's sake (like I've asked before, just who is Pete anyway?)! How did he get all the way to the hot seat and not know such a run of the mill question? The audience is to be shunned just as loudly! 20% of them actually answered silk, and another 20% thought it was gold... While everyone knows (or at least I had thought) that the Emperor's new clothes left him nakie! Just goes to show that people either don't read to their children, or others just flat out had no childhood. I'm sure I'd heard dozens of different versions of that story: all leaving the Emperor in the buff!
Don't even get me started on his next stumbling block! Alaska is outrageously huge in comparison to Texas, and his phone-a-friend was no help! What is this world coming to??? Aside from all of that, I knew (and was sure of) the answers to both of the final questions this evening. My mother kept saying, "Are you sure?", not completely believing me. But I was right both times! I want to be a millionaire!!!
