Manky's Agenda: October 11th, 1999

| Well, well, well... like the page says, this is a real freak zone. And I, for one, am a genuine full fledged freakezoid! |
there's more where that came from...
I locked my keys in my car again! It hasn't even been two full weeks! I was almost too embarrassed to call back to work so someone could bring me my backpack with my trusty spare key. It's not like it's common practice to let your employer know what an actual flake you are when it comes to your personal life like that. I can organize like a freak. Yet something as simple as taking the key all the way out of the ignition and putting it in my pocket before I lock the car... is so strugglesome for me (okay so I made up a word, cut me some flack here, kay?) What an utter embarrassment. Lesson for the day: Listen to that dinging before you lock the door anyways!
I've been surfing through on-line journals again! There are already over 950 different journals in the Open Pages WebRing, back when I joined there were barely 50! But they have spruced things up a bit with burbs. Sorting journals in every which way possible: lefties, raw HTMLers, regions, musical interests, eye color, and more. I'm still in search of those wonderful journals I'm just gonna get pulled into on a daily basis. So far the only one that has stood out in my mind, is Hedgehog's. She's got spunk and an ability to babble about understandable daily nothings (things I can relate too, and/or opinionate upon!)
My worst problem is dual surfing: I stumble around at home, then a tid bit at work, then I can never seem to get to where I want to from where I am. For example, last night I found a cool survey I bookmarked and was going to answer here in my WebAgenda, but I'm at work and I haven't the slightest as to where it might be amidst all the others in the huge realm of webdom we've created! For now it'll have to wait, maybe I'll add it on to my entry tonight when I get home.
I hate to beat a dead horse, but I still can't get over Three Kings it was an amazing movie! I've got my 103 best songs cd from mp3.com sitting here in front of me and it's got a trailer to the movie on it. If I didn't have to install a new program onto this computer to run it, I'd show everyone! The next movie on my plate is Double Jeopardy, Rachel and I are supposed to go see it sometime this week. Hopefully we can figure out a time, our schedule always seem to conflict.
Boy is this week jam packed for me, there isn't a day I don't have something specific aside from work. Today I'm going over to Dawn's for dinner, yum yum fun! Tomorrow Canela has a home volleyball game, aside from the fact that it's our All Day Staff Meeting, so I've got lots of organizing and setting up to do for that. Wednesday is when I hope to be able to go with Rache to the movies, if not... Sara and I could always chill to 90210 for old time's sake! Thursday Nela has yet another home game, and that's when we have youth gatherings at VCF. Friday I'm getting together with Peggy (she was my youth leader way back in the beginning!) for lunch here at the college caf, that will most certainly be nice... I haven't seen her in forever!
I'm sitting here reading some flier about speech making, full of anecdotes, quotes, etc. One such quote caught my eye and spoke to what happened with Ed yesterday afternoon:
"It is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle a question without debating it." - Joseph Joubert (1754-1824), French essayist
You see, Ed and I got into this extremely loud and frustrated event in which we were both totally and completely sure we were 100% correct. Duh! Obviously, one of us had to be wrong. We aren't so stupid that we'd both be arguing the same point. Who was right, you ask? We all know who was right, and who is always right! Enough said.
If it's of any interest to anyone, the dispute was over the location of a video. He was sure I'd taken it back from him. I was sure he still had it. Luckily it was more frustration with the situation than anger towards each other. I wouldn't have called it a fight necesarily, just a rampant moment of mutual confusion. It was all resolved, case closed, video found, you know who was right, apologies were made, and Ed will eventually be able to watch The Practice (he forgot the video on the kitchen table when he left, what a goof!)
  | ...enough already!
