Manky's Agenda: October 25th, 1996

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I am slowly unthawing from the frozen state I was in for the past two hours (actually, I think it was more like three!) You see, tonight was the Homecoming football game @ the high school. Yet again, as always, we lost horribly... I don't even want to think about the score. But aside from that I had fun.

I hung out with Ryan D. and Matt B. (wow, that rhymes!) the whole time... we walked around trying to stay warm and just had fun. Every now and then we'd stop by a concession stand so they could morf on some junk (or down a cup of cocoa!). At one stop Ryan bought me a cup of Hot Chocolate too (wasn't that nice of him?) I really don't get the phenomenon of standing of in the freezing cold to watch a pathetic high school game (especially when you are rooting for the mega-wadly losing team!) Yet time and time again I go and suffer. Of course since tonight was Homecoming there was the coronation ceremony @ half-time. What a mess... there was barely time for Amy (the queen last year, from my class) to crown the queen. Both teams were already out and ready to play again! But Robbie Salazar was crowned king along side Paty Garcia. There were some sights to see on the court though... Julia Walls (who from I remember was always a very quiet timid little girl in grade school) came out with a punk dress on and her typically shaved on all sides, outrageously long mohawk all gelled (or moussed, I don't know) out and up into various spikes, each spike tipped with silver (paint? tinfoil?) and a smile to throw it all together. Or the tamer side, Jared DeBorde had a purple tux jacket. Leaning more towards the fun side was Quincy Lee in his baby blue tux right out of the 70's (he's always been a kick in the pants) Well, enough talk about the lives of Homecoming @ HRV.. I'm beginning to thaw out a little more and want to go bed to watch T.G.I.F. (I recorded it!) Oh, before I go! I got new backgrounds @ an awesome site I found today surfin': Infinite Fish this background is one of 'em! I told him I'd give him credit... and this is my first attempt @ fulfilling that promise!
