Manky's Agenda: October 24th, 1996

I really don't know where to start, last night instead of regular youth group... we had a canidate for Youth Pastor who came all the way from Florida. We had a chance to hear him tell us about himself, and in turn ask him questions (of which ranged from "What did you have for breakfast this morning!" [embarassingly enough, that was mine... he said we could ask anything and it was the first thing that came to mind @ the moment!] to "What kind of a teacher are you? Stories? Studies?" I hate to sit here and say all the things that really bothered me about him, because "Who am I to judge?" yet @ the same time I feel an obligation towards not only myself but the other youth of the church to speak my mind and my heart. It's not that I didn't like him, it's just that I don't see him as "the one" for our youth. There were some attitudes, outlooks and ideas that don't really clique in our area nor our ministry.. I could be totally wrong, but for now it is strong in my mind and I don't know what to do with it, nor how to approach an elder about it (let alone which elder.. although I just had one come to mind!) I just pray that it all comes out acording to the will of the Lord. It wouldn't be the first time an awesome thing has happened and @ 1st I wasn't for it! Anywho (I can't seem to shake that can I?).. that's what I did last night. Other than the meeting I had a great time. I got to know David Kendrick a bit better, we were talking about music (I lent him my Third Day CD) and a bunch of other shtuff. Later some of us (Cory, Canela, Kendall, Cassie, David and myself) went down to TacoBell to eat and enjoy ourselves some more! Well, I better be off for tonight! L8R! God Bless! =)
